If you pick up your trans and die because of it then so be it. Not that I don't like the idea but I'd rather see development in other places.
Also the trans will never be perfect. You can drop it somewhere and not realize until later that you can't re-materialize into a cramped place.

I can foresee the future!
Problem: Before people died because others were standing on their trans or monsters destroyed it.
Solution: Trans is invulnerable & other peeps cannot affect your trans.
Problem: People died because they picked up their own disc.
Solution: It's impossible to pickup your own disc.
Problem: People died because they placed their trans in tight spots.
Solution: You can now trans into tight corners.
Problem: People can easily glitch in tight corners.
Solution: Acy came in to kick all of their aces.
Problem: An angry mob demands to repeal their bans.
Solution: Translocator is banned :P
I'm just messing around. I doubt it'll go further than the second one lol

Does it take more than 2 seconds to look down and make sure your trans is there? I dunno how many times I've walked over mine, now before I leave the "safe" area, I look at the floor and make sure mine is still there. Or tap Q a couple times to verify. You spend 2 seconds, you save yourself from death. It doesn't sound like a problem with game mechanics, it sounds like a problem with the player.

yeah, thanks for the responses indeed, it seems you all agree it is either not necessary, not priority or too easy. I agree, in some places, especially Mr. Ant xD.

Hitting Q is by far the easiest suggestion I have seen. If your view changes, you have a disc. If it doesn't, no disc.

I have used that a lot more recently, now I have the DR to stop mid-wave.
