Yeah I gotta hit Say Unkles server a little more to get some of their crazy maps.
But what can I say I'm loyal to the Spam Vikings server with only being on Friday and Saturday night pretty much.
DUCK! Oh wait guess I shoulda said that before I shot you huh?

Meadowlands is a HUGE download. Ordinarily I dont mind but the map really does not justify the 20 odd megs (zipped!!!) that you need to download. Its not a bad map, its just lacking in some areas and is a bit too dull to justify that size. I can make a tempura replacing the mantas with fast mantas and the scorpions with my fast scorpius in a day or two if you like. Should make the map feel smaller. Do you have permission to mess with that map?

I agree about the meadowlands... There is something about it. One, I think it is a little large with not enough fast vehicles... It is hilly enough to be annoying but not enough to give you a sense of where you are and where you are going. Plus, because the roads are uneven the scorpians bounce all over the place.

I don't know how you solve the road problem however. I am currently building a map and it gave me fits. I finally simplified it quite a bit and used BSP for the inclines. I have not found a good way to editing the terrain height map with a 16bit grey scale gradient.

Yeah, it's damn puuurty, but the gameplay is so so at best. Not worth 20+ meg download. Consider it gone.

The first night I installed manta wars, I had several people asking me to start it again, so I'm not sure what to do here. I'll try to get online again when I see it up.

Keep the feedback coming.

I don't know if I've ever seen manta wars, it doesn't familiar to me at all...

I post these maps being honest after looking through my play history. Aliencrossifre should have never been made (worst of the worst), mantawars plays badly, moonbase is lowgrav and plays bad, junglehill plays bad and has horrid lockers, shipdockbeta plays very badly and for too long into OT. You gota be crazy to like these maps basically :p

I agree completely with this statement...those maps suck, and need to go. Thanks for mentioning AlienCrossfire.

Oh, and yes, All-Fall-Down needs to go, it's such a horrible map. I've had MONSTERS spawn on that map before, and destroy locked nodes, cutting us off while we're trying to hit the core. It was SO STUPID...(is this a map feature, or was there a hacker aboard?).

I wasn't aware you needed permission to fix maps. At any rate, I do think Tempura would benefit from faster vehicles. And Meadowland *might* be better if it was about a 100X smaller. Maybe. I say make it happen MapMaster Gorzakk.

I think there are alternate link setups that feature no skaarj are those the monsters your talking about?. I personally think that the entire node setup needs to configured.
