AND YET AGAIN!
iguazu crashes with 12 people leaving only sal alive, who dies :( super. 11 of 12 crashed on destroy 4 dropships part, so we wasted over 2 hours only to crash. :|

Something to do with disembarking the dragons I believe, possibly because finishing the 4 power generator objective forces everyone to disembark their dragons and moves their pawns to that one grotto.

yeah why's it do that anyway, and why would that cause it to crash, wtf :( last time I think it crashed after we blew up the 4 ships before the last dragon, so franky was alone vs last dragon :/ ugh
I wouldn't stress too much over this. The unreal engine doesn't like players riding on monster kind of deal. I'll have to go through great lengths to fix that problem.
I do have a solution coming up on the next update. It may not fix the crashing directly, but hopefully it'll be a decent work-around.
If the work-around is not good enough, then we can take alternative routes for Iguazu.

If you did not get a single point, if you did not socialize with the players, if you were not entertained for the first 2 hours, then I would agree with you. Otherwise I wouldn't conclude that the last 10% of the map determines weather you've wasted your time or not. The crashing may leave a bad taste, but it's not the determining factor of your experience (not talking about rpg xp).SomethingToSay wrote:...so we wasted over 2 hours only to crash.

Lol it does, but 1200 end game XP is pretty sweet, I know for a fact at least a few people were screaming THAT WAS A WASTE OF TIME at the end of it. It wouldn't be as bad (relatively) if other end map XPs were higher.DW_Ant wrote:I wouldn't stress too much over this. The unreal engine doesn't like players riding on monster kind of deal. I'm just sure you can understand how coming so very close to a goal and nice payoff then having it torn away by a dumb technical problem sucks. Just a venting thread a bit :P

I think it's more frustrating to beat all waves of monsters in DevineFortress and then to be shredded in pieces by the crazy Warlord combine to one hundred doom head spirit at the boss wave xD. I hope Ant will made this map winnable cause I miss it so bad.

I suggest you enjoy losing, especially when it is only a game. Don't take the risk of playing if losing really means to you a waste of your time. Time is a valuable thing in life, so if people feel that losing wastes their time, then don't gamble on your time by playing. The odds are against you.

lol we didn't lose though... thats like saying the green bay packers lost a few weeks ago. they didnt. outside forces(in this case the dragon riding technology) ruined it. it wasn't even fair. it's just sucky. :/Thwart wrote:"If you can't accept losing, you can't win."- Vince Lombardi

I would put crashing in the category of losing a map. It certainly isn't winning, or would you rather consider it a tie? Don't miss the point.
To allude to the Packers, everywhere I look, the NFL has marked that the Packers have lost that game. In what fashion doesn't matter. It's just like when the Packers lost in the playoffs last year, "We didn't lose to the Giants. We beat ourselves."
Give me a break. You freakin lost. Deal with it.
