As I said, my initial concern was overloading the ONS Spam Vikings branch...which should be about things related to the pub server..not us crazy SVAs...according to the descriptor. Kinda felt like trespassing..but I couldn't figure where else to fling that stuff, so there it landed!

Now I'm swimming in muddy water and I can't tell which way is up! LOL!
Throw me a lifeline, people!!!

I believe a separate forum would benefit Clan DW in that it would clear the obvious clutter out of that branch it occupies and let you and the moderators have a better view of the info that's server related. It would benefit the SVAs by giving a central home for practice and scrim reminders and anything else SVA related so we could stop running rampant in the other forums.

And something I hadn't really considered, but that Zax made an interesting point on. A place to post our thoughts on what we learned at practices. I honestly don't have a clue as to how many of us would participate in that kind of discussion. It would certainly have to be community generated, as I don't see any one person sitting down and trying to transcribe what took place at any given practice.

If you in fact create a forum branch for us, I'm not sure that it needs to be private. I can't imagine any of us actually discovering something that you folks haven't known about previously. And even if we did, it should be shared with the community at large because that's what makes being here so much fun! We all benefit from the exchange of ideas! (okay..okay and the occasional bit of gossip!) ;)

All right..I've rambled enough...as the unofficial "Organization Queen" I think this would be good. And I'm willing to do what I can to assist you in this. As someone who has a fine appreciation for juggling work, life in general and a boat load of other things that claim my attention, I don't want to add another ball to the pattern and make it harder for you to keep all the rest in the air!

The extra on Toxic is the only thing that worries me. I mean look at all we have now, and just because we play here, no fees, no contracts, no commitments. We just keep gettin' more and more! Thanks Toxic!

The only reason I could see for making it private would be to keep it to DW-SVA tags, an incentive for those who wear none/other. Strategies can be of great value, especially if you play as badly as I! LOL

It is just all too much fun to be legal Toxic, but they only ever get a name on me, and as far as I know that was only once in Mexico,...don't get that way much anymore.......... just havin a blast! TNX! KE

I don’t believe we need another forum per se, maybe as Toxic mention, just rebrand the challenge scrim forum and then we can use that one to discuss whatever we want about scrims (tactics, date, comments and all that crap). If and only if we create a forum for SVA’s I’m afraid it will split the posting from SVA’s and DW and me personally I don’t want that. So there it is, that’s MHO.

- Guys is just a freaking forum where everybody who has something to say comes and post , sometimes very usefull info , sometime funny stuff, other times is just silly crap .. but however it is good to see everybody posting in whatever branch of this website is really nice , what I'd like a lot for the SVA peps .. is that they could have a Rank , like the rank you get with the number of post you have , well better like the one we as Clan members have , That'd be great and will show everyone coming to the website that is not only DW clan related stuff here but that theres also a repectfull place for the SVA comunity .. wouldnt you love it? -

Weasel hit it on the head. My fear is if I create an SVA forum, that all SVA posts start going there. And if I make it private, then we go through the whole who is an SVA and who isn't routine, because I then have to assign permissions for each person.

For now, I have renamed the Challenge forum to Scrim Discussion. Let's try that out and see how it goes.

Obviously a bit late here but I agree with what toxic has done I think it is best that we have a forum simply for talking about scrims times reminders etc.

Giving us a private forum would make it a lot harder for toxic to moderate the SVA which really takes away what the SVA is we dont need moderating.

At least we all know now that is where to post, plus Im with Zax if you guys come up with a good strategy in practise post it up cos I hardly ever make it to a practise.
