Well what i meant was it more of a far dash. The movement that like a a normal dodge move but it make you go higher and give you more distance than just a normal dodge. I dont know it it is my eyes that playing trick on me or there is really a move like that. Since i see the ppl in tam or tdm do dodging alot and they dont have to flip but they still can jump far.

I find the flipping distracting so i forced my models. However all models can flip even gorge. For a model to flip i believe he has to do a wall dodge only. Most females will do flips with regular jumps, the blue blond female is notorious for this and people choose her just for that reason. Beyond the animation there is no difference in the models.

If you want to do it follow this tutorial. Its pretty short and all you need is notepad. You can force some models not all and i know it include gorge, rylissa and xan. Yes the charecter you force is the one the people that do see if they dont force. .

Ah. You are talking about 'dodge jumping'. This is where you dodge and then do a delayed jump afterwards. This can be done after a wall dodge too: jump towards wall (or any hard object), dodge away from wall and then jump again. You can get some major distance with either of the dodge jump methods.

The final jump in the "Jumping Room" of the FnG-TraningGrounds demo is a perfect example of a delayed wall dodge jump. It's the only way to make that distance using an unassissted jump. (A reverse shield jump could probably do it too.)

I've already done one from the shield platform to the sniper rifle column. I should turn on the server-side demos and do it again as well as trying one over the final jump distance. Should be fun. :toothy9:

As promised. Some shield jumps in the FnG jumping room. The one jump I cannot seem to do is the one to get up onto the sniper column from the floor. DeadSexy has this jump down-pat. I just can't seem to time it right. :sad3:

Anyway, here they are: http://www.boscorama.com/demos/shield.zip

Just expand the file into your UT2004\Demos folder. Hopefully these will play for anyone with the FnG map installed.

BTW, Bomzin, the one you want is: shield1.demo4

Yeah Snaggle, If you want me too, i could come into the server and you can make a demo of that jump. The hardest thing about it is just getting the timing down right. Once you know the timing, its pretty easy. I was surprised I even did it the first time, lol. Didnt think you could jump that high.
