Some of the maps like Dust2k5 I want to mod by adding a few more playerstarts so the creatures spawn in more locations, and removing some of the blocking volumes so you can get on the roofs on some of the buildings and perhaps giving the ability to go into more buildings too....

I hope Toxic will let me put maps on this server so I can listen and implement changes to the maps to make invasion even more challenging and enjoyable for those who like this gametype.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I've been crazy busy on my trip.

Cheap: Setting up FTP would be great. I can include a map and if it doesn't show in the web admin list, I know it's missing something. No biggie.

I have noticed that the maps that seem to be popular where I play are ones that tend to be wide open. They also have a spot or two where people can hide.

The really complicated maps with hidden stuff tend to be a bit difficult. It really sucks getting stuck in between walls (in a thin corridor) with 5 monsters.

Goto the UI servers and pick amazing gardens.

Agreed, Zeus.

I think the best maps are exactly what Zeus described, with lots of open space with a few nifty hiding places. Mini-me maps called Diner and Dorm Room are good examples.

Maps with these features really help stress the RPG element. When the monsters get tough, everyone usually moves to the hiding places. The Adren Masters give everyone Infinate Link Guns and other goodies, the Weapons Masters link up and shoot down the titans and queens and Lucis, and the Medics run around healing everyone. It works out really well.


On that note, I would like to request that the ability to become a Vehicle Master be disallowed for the DW server. Vehicle Masters have the ability to spawn vehicles that only they can use, thus dominating the map and annoying the heck out of everyone else. I think the DW should only have Adren Masters, Medic/Monster Masters, and Weapons Masters.

The Vehicle Master is something that Sonic added on the Unrealinsanity server and is not part of the standard DruidsRpg mod so there shouldn't be any worries.

Vehicle masters wont be too bad if they weren't allowed to spawn the SPMA, Use artifacts on vehicles, and be able to get roadkills. If you take all that away there is no point in being one however.

I actually wouldn't mind playing it if the map maker does do the changes that he said he would do last night.
