RPG does not allow you to override U or L, these keys are used by RPG and will not change their fuction. So trying to change them will not work they will always be those keys. so you need to find something different.

Depending on how complex your keybinds are, you can make a couple of .txt files with your different keybindings and run them with the exec command to quickly change them when playing Monster Mash or other game types.
Just make a text file with the appropriate keybind commands for the MM server and another one for your normal keybinds (only the ones that need to be changed). Name these files (ex. MMbinds.txt, REGbinds.txt) and save them in the UT2004/System folder. Then, in the console (or the in game command line) enter exec MM.txt, and the keybinds in that file will be applied.
***NOTE*** Unfortunately, these text files do not support complex keybinds (i.e. multiple commands connected with a pipe "|"), so if you need to have complex keybinds you will have to set up ALIASES for them.
Hope this helps.
