I really don't look at a BitchSlap map as one you can win any more but a slaughter fest. It takes a lot of team work in order to win and most of the time you don't get it. Be for real, if you have 32 players in a BitchSlap map do you honestly think you are going to win if each side has 4 or 5 good players on it. Don't get me wrong I still try to win the game but I think that map is more for stats than anything.

Buidling the center nodes is really hard without getting hammered by the tanks.....go tank whores.

How many Bitchslap maps have you won in regulation time...one or two.

P.S. Toxic we need more link ammo and spidermines

Bitchslap is a slaughterfest, yes - honestly I think the best thing that could be done for the map would be a bit more cover from the 4 corner turrets, and taking the tanks out completely. The map (like a few others) are completely about the tank game. You shouldn't need a tank when you have 2-3 hellbenders spawning at your core...and where are those benders? SITTING AT THE CORE, because all they do is die to the turrets when they try to move out.

Good map? No. Bad map. :cat:

well we had a comeback on tricky the other night. took a 5 man link at our primary to get it going. I also had a comeback the same night on Toralan on Linode sever so maybe it was the moon but I think a good 3 man link team will get a node up on any map.

I find that teams that travel in packs can do better. When you link up to another person the rate of charge increases so rapidly that it is nonsense that it is not done more often. I kinda wish the points were not given all to the person directly linking the node, as I think that giving all linkers points would give incentive for better teamwork. It is difficult to do with a public server, but if you can orient yourself with enough people and travel in small group (3-5 people) it is amazing how fast an enemy node can be taken down and a new one built up.

yeah on stratagy type maps fire teams are a good thing. On spam maps I think every man for himself is less predictable and your not tank fodder as much.

Actually Namu, the secondary linkers do receive points, I have seen this in spec. They just don't get as many, I think.

Really? Thats awesome. I guess I never examined it as thoroughly as I should have.

Thanks Storm

Well, I monitored my specs all day today and not once did I gain points from linking to someone. My thought it that what you saw was the points they get for activating the node first. I know that if you activate it first you will get points no matter what, whether you charge it, someone else charges it, or no one charges it.
