Judging for the meteorological reports from po-dunk Idaho, I've come to the following conclusion.
There was a weather ballon that was launched into the air at 3/26 at 7:53 AM. This weather ballon was thought lost as it entered the pan american airstream over 60,000 feet in the air. Eventually it settled near your house and was caught by a pocket of argon gas. The argon gas reacted with the metallic surface of the weather balloon, and the magnetic field of the earth to cause localized keyboard disturbances in a 15 mile wide radius. The balloon is still wondering around your area, if the problem returns shoot the damn weather balloon.

I'm glad you made me laugh hornet.
Here's an update again: The cursor acts up when I first turn on the computer. I leave the computer on for about an hour and it stops. Doesn't do it again until I turn off the computer and turn it on again. Beginning to wonder if I have some weird "bug" or something...

Have you tried using a linux boot CD? Google Ultimate boot CD and see how your keyboard and mouse intereact there. This is only if replacing the keyboard did not work.
Here are some other options:
Try opening a text editor and see what your keyboard does in there.
Different USB ports.
Downloading new chipset drivers for your mobo.
Some windows update may have conflicted with your system.
If you still have the prob after replacing the keyboard, but don't have any issues in a boot environment, maybe consider that you have some kind of virus/spyware/hacked-up-registry. Heck a good window's reload work wonders.
If none of that works, which is unlikely, start thinking about your mobo being messed up, if it has the older ps/2 port try that with a ps/2 keyboard or usb-to-ps/2 convertor.
Best of luck.
You really want to kick computers sometimes. Found out today one of our Domain Controllers was eating up 60% of a T1 for some stupid polling agent for event viewer...bah!

OK, it's official... Saitek Keyboard's blow my bum.
I finally got a hold of another keyboard to try for a couple days. It's a cheap-o Belkin and I've had no problems at all. Turns out after much research, Saitek keyboards have a lot of problems. Many people report keys "dying" after 6 months of use for no reason. I guess I can say I got 10 months use out of mine. Lame!
Anyway, hope to be back playing next week after I buy a new keyboard. (Might be the week after. I'm busy busy.) Any recommendations? or does everyone use a cheap-o?

I have dell's simple USB multimedia keyboard. It types quiet and it...works! Mouse is logitech G5 though, gotta have my extra buttons. I can't see having a great keyboard being all that critical in FPS.

I am pretty picky about my keyboards... I tend to like light keys. Having been an UNIX admin in my past life meant a lot of typing.
Right now, on the new computer, I am using a <gasp> Microsoft Natural curve something or other.. I picked it up for $15 at Microcenter.
It is pretty responsive. The only thing negative from a gaming persepective is that the keys are slightly different sizes due to the keys being curved. It throws me off sometimes when I pick my hand off the keyboard...
It is great for typing though.
I hate keyboards that are tough to push.
I have a Nostomo N52 gaming keyboard if anyone wants to pay for shipping. It has tough buttons. Apparently, it can be broken, but I don't have the patience for it.
