Either really lazy coding, or just lack of knowledge.

Nali Soul Suckers start with 275 health (which may or may not be adjusted up or down based on wave). I just looked at the code and apparently they're kind of cheesy - They gain health as soon as they attack, the particles are just a useless visual effect. Anyway, they gain 75 health per successful attack. So you could get a Nali Soul Sucker with 1300 health after 14 successful attacks. Considering these guys don't need LOS I can see that happening if there aren't people out there killing them off immediately.
If the particles are useless effects why is it (when the attack has stopped and left the three glowing lines floating in mid air) if you step into them you take damage, and you only take damage when the particles hit you. How can they gain health before actually doing any damage you?

Alright then, I'll correct that - The particles are useless visual effect insofar as the "soul sucking" goes. The monsters gain health as soon as they start their attack, and you take damage from their attack as soon as they start their attack. The particles themselves can cause additional damage to you if you jump into them. They're rockets with a different skin (and they travel in a reverse direction).

Ah that is interesting to know. Thanks :)

I hate double posting but as this is about another glitch (well glitches) so I thought it best.

First one is with my AM. I have recall to level 2, so I do lose weapons when I kill myself. Several times earlier today I lost weapons when a monster killed me (actually said I was killed by a monster in the log) I know I am not the only one to suffer from this. On the same map someone (I'm afraid I've fogotten the name) lost all their weapons and they had recall to max. I don't know if it is fixable but I thought I would mention it.

The second is with my healer ... I'm no longer get exp for healing. I have experienced healing to 8 currently, so it should be 8% of what I heal. I spent a whole map only healing (well waves 4 to 15), not fighting at all, to test this. I got no exp. Not from direct healing, from life sphere or life burst. Is this a glitch, was healing exp taken out, or is it a glitch with my character?

healing exp is negated as soon as a player does damage to themselves. so if you heal another player and they did lets say 20 damage to themselves, no exp for healing will be given at all, no matter how much you heal them. kind of wasted your stat pts on that ability in my opinion.

Not as far as I'm aware - You only get healing for damage done by monsters, but dealing damage to yourself should not "negate" damage done by monsters.

More and more often I've noticed that I'm getting more glitch deaths. I ghosted on a map and had a link out, shot a few times, tried to switch weapon (to deemer) and then got a suicide death 'Aravona has killed herself with her own goop' Goop is a bio rifle isnt it?

A slith was more likley the culprit but cos it was a registered suicide... I lost weps. Is there a reason for the increase in suicide deaths recently? Quite a few people are getting them.

EDIT: Two other points.... 1. are redeemers meant to disappear at complete random (and once one went through the floor?) NOT monster destruction just... poof?
2. My baby medic (lvl 47) has problems with exp healing... ie. new wave/end of wave spawn healing people (not with other people healing as well just me) hp went from 100ish up to 800ish I got 5 exp for all that hp? lvl 7 exp healing, and 100 db - I know its all relative but that doesnt seem right? And I've noticed on some players... I healed someone from about 200 hp to max hp and only got exp for half, got to exactly 660 hp and it cut dead - I was under the impression that it was a % exp for all the healing you do? This was on players with no status effects as well.

I have an update on this issue. I recently tried an experiment. On wave 7, my AM was the only player alive and the monster level was about 390. Unlike the last time I experienced this same scenario, this time I was on an adren heavy map so I was able to keep my globe on indefinitely just by popping pills. I pulled out my vamp+8 mp5 and shot a Nali Soul Sucker up to over 2000 HP before I lost track of it in the mayhem. I didn't lose any health to any Nali since I was globing the entire time. I also shot another Nali up to over 1200 HP with my vamp gun.
