Personally, i went straight for ghost (200 HB and 50DR) and then DR all the way..
No flaw in my logic. It is like Flak stated (though you only need 25 points for 50 health). The example was to illustrate that putting that 25 points in health would be better than putting it in DR (for that example). If your MAX health HAD been 75 and you HAD put the 25 points in neither you would be dead. If you HAD put it in DR you would be dead. If you HAD put it in health you would be alive.Desko wrote:

75≠125
If, however, you had 76 health and a monster attacked for 100 damage, the DR would help more.
Hopefully, that justifies my decision on DR over HR.

Exactly the reason why i had to quit my medic, neh, it was my first character anyways, i had no idea.d2frob wrote:adren drip is very, very necessary early on. If you're even moderately low and you join a game later on you will have a very difficult time getting your adren for the medic weapon.
There are two reasons why I chose DR for level 25:BrainPan wrote:No flaw in my logic. It is like Flak stated (though you only need 25 points for 50 health). This was also suggested to be done very early on -- before you can even buy ADR, and allowing you 25 more points to be spent elsewhere (I suggested in adren for adren drip). If someone feels they don't need the health or adren drip early on then great, but don't put points in DR either (put them in DB).
The main points that should be gotten from that post are:
1. Damage Bonus is more important than Damage Reduction.
2. Advanced Damage Reduction is better than Damage Reduction.
3. IMO Ghost is better than Damage Reduction.
and the main point that should be gotten from this post is:
1. Damage Bonus is more important than Damage Reduction.
This is true, but DB is more important than DR and Ghost (particularly when first starting out). It's a moot point anyway, because you would also need 200 in health for Ghost.Desko wrote:There are two reasons why I chose DR for level 25:
1: Fills out the DR bonus for Ghost completely.
This is also true, but DB is more important than DR and ADR (particularly when first starting out).Desko wrote: 2: DR and ADR are synergistic, meaning that the more DR you have, the more ADR helps you.
This is a medic master guide, not an adren master guide. Your ability to heal yourself should be able to carry you along until you have max damage bonus.Desko wrote: Have you ever tried playing a low level adren master with no DR? If you have, you will know that it's not just no fun, it's UN-fun. 50 DR should be able to carry you along until you have max damage bonus.
