I've been veiwing some maps at Map Raider lately, & this one map, you have to pick up some keys & configure a series of buttons to break the puzzle. I'm going to do something similar like that for my flight map :D
Cool, sounds like a good idea.
I really hate the lame "secrets". Texture planes just aren't cool anymore, people.

Reload had a good idea with his recent map (can't remember the name), he just forgot to make them TriggerOnce... :P

We should be encouraging teamwork with secrets, not people spending the entire game looking for a tiny miscoloured square.

I think you're referring to Evil Pit. Hehe, I always laugh watching 15 people trying to get the mines & seeing others close the doors that I opened & vise versa. That's my favorite evil secret :D
The difference between successful people from others is
not in the lack of strength,
not in the lack of knowledge,
but rather in the lack of will.

Just a point of note: Hiding what you've done in the editor is a rude thing to do to people who might be looking at your map to learn. There is no reason to go out of your way to hide anything in the editor unless you are attempting to conceal a secret so that others don't find out about it (and you shouldn't be doing that anyway).

Unless they want to learn how to hide secrets...

Anyway, I was joking, so there will be absolutely no reason to reason to try the teleporter in my next map. :evil4:

The point of hiding the secret from editor is, so people who try to look in editor for the combo of buttons in a order to press they dont spoil it and instead they try to find it ingame themselves.

If someone was to look at station to learn mapping i would punch them in the face since it sucks, But the point a mapper makes a secret is so that they have a bit of fun ingame looking for it.

If they then get annoyed because no one tells them how and they cant find it on their own, Then tough luck and they will look harder.

Just one teensy point I wanted to make...

There are 823,543 possible combinations of buttons. :study:
