I was just using adren master as an example. I didn't mean adren masters should get DR
This is true, but DB is more important than DR and Ghost (particularly when first starting out). It's a moot point anyway, because you would also need 200 in health for Ghost.
Once you fill out the DR bonus completely, there is no need to get more until you have bought ghost. If you put the points in health, you still have to sink points into health AND dr later. Maybe it's just because I'm anal retentive, but if I can fill out a requirement all at once, I do it so I never have to worry about it.

Anyway, this is all almost hypothetical anyway, because it lacks a test. I'll test your method later.

Yes, your right, and we've also been quibbling over 50 points. If you find someone with max DB to link with on the Luci wave you can probably get 5 levels and that 50 points in 1 or 2 maps.

You level up 3 or 4 times just from winning at level 25 anyway. I'll test them both tonight, just for fun, after I finish my homework.

Results:

BrainPan's method:
143 Kills
3 Deaths (one while putting in stat points)
1761 Pts
End Level: 34

Desko's Method:
207 Kills (The awareness from BrainPan's test carried over for the first couple waves, yeilding a bunch of kills.)
4 Deaths (one while putting in stat points)
1571 Pts.
End level: 33

Conclusion: BrainPan wins.

All I have to say Desko is your a very big man testing your method against Brains and giving the results even when they are not favorable to you. I commend you on your work and testing of the to methods. In the end it all comes down to how you like to build and play you game. And for goodness sakes have fun no matter which method you choose

What ACY said.

But you know Desko, for it to be a truly valid empirical study you will need a test base of at least 40 or 50 trials. So I know what you'll be doing for the next month....

Of course, every scientist would. For the sake of science, here are the steps using the scientific method:

Observations: Damage bonus gets more kills (theoretically), and thus, produces more frequent level ups. Damage reduction decreases damage, and thus reduces the frequency of deaths (theoretically).

Hypothesis: I hypothesized that since my method would reduce the amount of deaths, and would be a synergy to an essential skill later on, it would be better in the long run.

Experiment: This is the one I posted above.

Conclusion: BrainPan's method is more effective at gaining levels, due to the fact that I was able to kill things before they attacked me, and dodge their less frequent attacks. The inability to kill things as quickly with MY method yielded more frequent attacks from the monsters, causing me to fall pray to the barrages of rock, and hoards of raptors. In plain and simple terms, I was overrun by monsters I was unable to kill. Not to mention that experience is based on damage, which is the whole point of BrainPan's 50-point-plan.

P.S. BrainPan, I liked your old Avatar better.
