Don't remove it, if we play it its because the mayority vote it and if one is enjoying the map then they will no vote for it, there is not reason for removing it...
If we don't do what we love, no matter if we do it all day we will always be unoccupied...

That is somewhat untrue in my experience, most of the time barely anyone votes except a select few people, and everyone else just follows their vote. Rarely do I see more than one map get voted.El_Salvador_503 wrote:if we play it its because the mayority vote it and if one is enjoying the map then they will no vote for it

They're not gonna take down the map anyway.
But now that I'm thinking about it, when I was just playing, I didn't notice, is Utopia back up? Ant said it would be
I was trying to say politely that seeking help to talk to someone can be a good thing to help vent your frustrations... A computer isn't really a person though.SomethingToSay wrote:lolwut....

So you're not a person? I'm not talking to you right now? That makes no sense.
The entire point of a forum is so people can bounce opinions and ideas off each other. If we suggest things like medic awareness on spirits and making medkits heal to FULL health instead of just base, that's because we are inputting what we think will make the game better.
I've said multiple times this is a frustration thread, if people venting some frustrations about this game is just so unwanted, fine, have a mod delete this thread and we're done with it. It's like if I made a thread saying "dat feel when you're playing Goldeneye 64 and you're on control room mission and they kill you right at the end". It's just frustrating, but we'll keep going at it and try again. There's not a problem other than the glitch that crashes everyone.
You're taking a polar opposite side in pretending like it's all totally sensible and a map glitching is not actually a problem, it's just part of the game and glitches should stay in there and we should all ignore it and walk away. That's easily just as wrong a thing to do.
I appreciate what Ant does, I think the latest update boosts PMs and overall was a great update, and he does a pretty great job of balancing things out and keeping it a solid team game.
Now we’re getting somewhere.
It’s how you go about your frustrations and criticisms. If you just want to merely post on a forum about your frustrations and criticize another player then I’m going to give you a hard time about it especially when your reasoning is really just subjective. El Salvador is not breaking any rules. We’re not going to start telling people when they can play a certain character of theirs and when they cannot. On the other hand, people have complained about another particular past player, which was justified, and so I wasn’t going to defend him when I knew that they were right.
Complaining and dramatizing your complaints about crashes or losing in a map is redundant and annoying. Many of the issues are already known. Go ahead if you have suggestions, and you're right that the idea of going on the forum is to "bounce opinions and ideas off each other." However, I don't see any ideas coming from you.
I could have ignored your posts about this, but in certain topics in the past when we remained silent about issues in the hopes that it will just pass, it ended up spreading around amongst other players where the server starts getting a bad rep. Also, since you did decide to go onto the forum, I feel it is more respectful to reply to you instead of ignoring you as if you didn’t matter to the ME community because you do actually. But posting merely about your frustrations in an indirect, negative way in the hopes that it will change something is not very appreciative by me. To be a bit more professional like your last post will get better results. If your intentions were not to persuade change through your negativity, then was it purely just to feel better about yourself? In that case, actually interacting/talking with a human being is a far more productive way to deal with such things. Typing on a forum through a machine isn't quite the same as talking to someone, but thats getting off topic. Maybe try Ventrilo. It seems like this program would be perfect for you considering that the word "vent" is actually in the name.
May I suggest that you have a point next time when you feel the need to vent. For example, when Ant asks you if he should pull Iguazu until the situation is figured out, because some seem not to enjoy the map if it crashes, then that would be more straight to the point. But who knows when Iguazu will be figured out since there is so much to the list of things to be done with the server. But if it is better to take it off until then, then say something. I’m assuming you’re really just looking for answers most the time, but I don’t want to have to figure out what that question is.

Yeah all right, I know people play different ways, and I'm not saying ban sal or anything, I'm just annoyed at the way he played. You don't have to read my posts, I've said repeatedly it doesn't need to have any impact on anything, and I don't expect server changes anyway.
How am I supposed to know what issues are known? I haven't seen anyone else commenting about medic awareness on spirits or other things, and even on the glitching on Iguazu I've only seen a couple comments from people, you're mad because I can't read minds?
I know that other people have commented about Sal's way of playing and his ridiculous points IN-GAME, so I made the other topic with its screenshot to show that with further proof of how ridiculous it looked, and to be somewhat of a voice for the in-game people who cba to make a forum account.
Who am I going to talk to in person lmao, this is a 9 year old game, hardly mainstream anymore... and I don't have a mic that works with this game. If I could delete this topic since you have such a huge problem with people having problems, I would.
No, ant just said "should I pull the map" which isn't solving anything. If I was supposed to know he means "should I pull it for fixing", then we're going somewhere. He's pulled Utopia and Divine numerous times for long stretches of times to fix things, if he puts those back up and takes Iguazu down til it's fixed, yes, that's a solution, go ahead. But I also don't want him to be overwhelmed by pulling so many maps down at once.
He should focus on Divine, get it back up, then look at Iguazu if possible. From what he's said though, it seems like it's not easily fixed anyway, so I'm not sure what he can do. That's something I wouldn't have known without making this thread, so yes, it's had at least SOME purpose and I've gotten SOME feedback and answers.

Mad? No. Did you actually read my post? My point was for you to actually make your posts relevant. I don't know what you're looking for so instead of me trying to read YOUR mind, say something more useful than, "Yet Again, iguazu crashes with 12 people leaving only sal alive" etc. etc. Okay....and? What do you suggest?SomethingToSay wrote: How am I supposed to know what issues are known? Perhaps issues could be discussed rather just ranting on about it.
And how are you supposed to know about issues? You can ask, or bring it up exactly? That is what the forum is for.
Thank you. You're voice is heard. No need to wait for us to create a suggestion box. Your input can be made at anytime. I think Wail suggests having maps more objective based for experience which could be a solution. However, Ant is still leaving a lot of these things up to the mapper on how they would like to distribute exp.SomethingToSay wrote:I know that other people have commented about Sal's way of playing and his ridiculous points IN-GAME, so I made the other topic with its screenshot to show that with further proof of how ridiculous it looked, and to be somewhat of a voice for the in-game people who cba to make a forum account.
btw, Divine coming out around Christmas. Leaning towards objective based exp.

:sdull:
Look. I was specifically replying to you to think about your perception of "the game" in a philosophical point of view since your comments are TOO generic.

Between all the rage and the divergence of opinion in this thread there is one point that I agree with: Why not fixing 1 map at a time instead of removing so much map? I mean, I don't mind playing map that crashes or that are glitchy while I know that in that said time another map is getting to be fixed and putted back soon.
Like instead of removing DivineFortress, Utopia, UseOfWeaponlvl-5, UseOfWeaponlvl-6, UseOfWeaponlvl-7 and HeathedEscort all in one shot, why not simply removing one of those, fix it, put it back, then removing another, fix it, put it back... and so on. At least players while not get bored that way, and is it not better to concentrate the effort on fixing one thing at a time ratter then try fixing many thing at a time?
For all that I agree with ElSalvador, removing Igazu is a bad idea at this time considering all the other maps that are already out, besides I don't mind if it crash, Iguazu is my favorite map and I enjoy playing it! Xenomorph-part-1 crash so much more right at the beginning then Iguazu btw, I'm surprise no one is talking about this instead. :P

I got the reflex of the fly, now catch me if you can!
Yea it's strange that all of a sudden it is acting up now. However, I have noticed the the map doesn't crash when there is less 5 people joining so it might have something to do with the two different versions. The one that seems to crash is where we have to split the teams in the beginning with the hellbenders.DW_FrankyTheFly wrote: Xenomorph-part-1 crash so much more right at the beginning then Iguazu btw, I'm surprise no one is talking about this instead. :P
