I lied after thinking about it .Laws do tend to keep people in line and have more of an effect when over the top .

Say loosing a hand when getting caught stealing . Loosing your penis for rape. you get the idea. These laws would help . Yet even in country's that intertain these laws , the crime still happens. Bet they wern't planning on getting caught.

Yeah but going over the top really isnt going help either is it....

I never said anyone should decrease sentences, im just saying that your point may not be so valid as people do pay attention to the law. Some people choose to ignore a few some people choose to ignore many.

You said laws are only a deterant to people who choose to follow them. Well im sure more people would follow them if there was more chance of getting caught.

My country at the moment is complaining about becoming a nany state, its estimated that you are caught on CCTV over 300 times per day in England. People say this is invasion of privicy ? Maby, but how many more crimes have been solved or prevented due to these being in place. Some times things dont seem like the best option but in the end they work and are there for the greater good.

The question to ask after this is has crime gone down ? Not as far as im aware. But convictions have gone up. Whilse cutting of a hand is a little extreme, showing that commiting a crime is almost impossible without a spell n jail would go a long way towards preventing crime in the futer.

Lets make this simple . Smart criminals don't get caught by a camera , only dumb ones.

When you go cruizing down the road at 135kph in a 90kph zone do you intend on getting caught. You know you could get caught but are you actually planing on it .

All the cameras do is move the crime to a differant area's . Now unless you want to live in a police state . We shouldn't even go there.

Even if you had camera's everywhere . You will still have crime . Most of witch will be the stealing of camera's.

IMHO rapists should loose their johnson's , along with pedifiles and any other sort of crime along those lines, they are the lo life of humanity. Still dog broke the law and should pay. KNowingly broke the law. Premeditation should get him another 5. To bad for all the publicity, if not for that he may have gotten away with it. Sorta ironic. Now the Mexican Federalies will have to make an example out of him .

I did know one chap that knowingly broke the law with the intention of getting caught. He was looking for free room and board ... True Story.

And yes dog broke the law but in his defence I dont know if he even thought about the fact bounty hunting in mexico is illegal he was probably to busy thinking about catching the criminal. Not that ignorance is a viable argument in court....

But either way dog did a good thing regardless and shouldnt be punished for doing a job other "law enforcers" were to lazy or corrupt to do.
