going back to the flame idea i believe there is already an effect for players because it seems i see players running around with flaming joints at some points in time...so if u increased the size of that and put its point of origin at the stomach i think it might actually work

I'm pretty sure that's when you get hit by a fire titan's rock and don't die, happened to me before and my arms were on fire ^^

That happens when the player gets hit with any explosive material (like rockets, grenades, flak motors, etc...)

My ideas:

Homing
Projectile weapon projectiles (Link Gun, Rocket Launcher, Redeemer, Shock Core, MP5 Grenade, maybe Flak Cannon, etc) will home in on the targeted monster like the Rocket Launcher does, but with instant lock-on. Projectile turning rate and damage increases with weapon level. A negative magic level of this type has no effect besides decreased damage.

Charging
Applies to slower-firing weapons (i.e. not the MP5, Minigun, and Link Gun). Also doesn't apply to superweapons. This can have a max level of 10, and 5% damage per level. When not firing, it will increase the damage of the next shot by 100% for each shot that was not fired, up to a max of 100% multiplied by the weapon level.

This means that a fully-charged shot will do 10x damage if the weapon is level 10, or 6x damage if the weapon is level 6. Of course, there is no difference in damage between 10 continuous shots and a single 10x charge shot, because DPS is conserved. DPS will be the same as a Force weapon, i.e. level 10 Charging = level 5 Force, so the weapon is not overpowered. This would be a very cool weapon for campers and noobs. A negative magic level of this type will reciprocate the damage multiplier, so you will lose charge instead of gain charge. This means that a shot could do as low as 1/10 damage, if you are unlucky to have a -10 magic level.

It's called the Amril - dude - @ least to me that sounds exactly like what you are suggesting.

No, I do not mean the AMRiL. The AMRiL locks your view onto specific monsters, and is a relatively lousy weapon to begin with. The Rocket Launcher's rocket will home in on whatever is under the crosshairs, but not lock on to it. You could imagine how annoying a homing Link Gun would be if it kept locking on to monsters. I'm also sure you can imagine how much better a homing Link Gun would be than an AMRiL.

Haste: In addition for Quickfoot, have the weapon shoot slightly faster than others.

Greed: Gain extra experience (if ya want, should this magic modifier have negative effect? Should we gamble some dr for some extra xp or something?)

Uh.....no very similar to cheats no skill required. Especially for those guns mentioned above they do massive amounts of damage already amd having it lock and hit each time an intant hit with each projectile, not far to the poor monsters.
