There will be tank whores on any server you go to. Vic just happens to be the Spam Viking whore. If he is not in a tank, he is in a manta at the other end of a teleporter waiting to instatly crush anyone who goes through. If none of the above, he's probably at one of your spawns. Nobody likes the less-than-honorable tactics he uses, but most of the time he is only concerned with getting "free" kills and not being a productive member of his team. During those times if you ignore him and focus on the nodes to help your team win he doesn't pose any real threat. If his camping spot is actually a tactically good spot, I just pretend I'm a covert-ops ninja (muahaha!) and come up behind him with flak. It doesn't work all the time but you can do a lot of damage before you die leaving him more vulnerable for the next guy to take him out.
You shouldn't quit just because of him though, like I said there are players like him on every server, and also on games other than UT you will find people doing similar things. Like it or not it is part of the game to have a player who doesn't mind playing dirty.

I judge the People paying there as fallows.. -- applys to every one with or without vehicles--

+ There are just 2 classes of Players..

1- Those who know the game..
2- Those who don't know the game ..

From that point .. I make my game.- -as fallows

+ Cooperating with those in the 1st statment..-- to reach our goal .. (win as team) and Trying to ..give a little advice (of the little I may know) to those in the 2nd statemet to help us reach the goal ..

Yeah I noticed that. Almost every single USSR guy seems to be a chronic spawn killer. Getting to a core just as it locks up and attacking the people there is one thing, but heading to the core at the start and planting mines everywhere is something else.

funny story, but true. I got banned off there little server for spawn camping no warning. I always go to the farthest node and when it locked I left outta there in a manta smashing as I went and pop, got a ban. Class act aint it.

Vic is "ok" in a tank against players on foot and mantas, but horrible with eagle eyes and atrocious with weapons. Take a map like Bitchslap were he usually scores a gazillion points with the tank...all you have to do is kill him before he gets the tank or outsmart him.

Unless you are being spawn killed at your core with no nodes up...in which case the map will be over soon if you don't defend the core like a total newb...there is no reason to keep spawning at the same node and then complain about spawn killing. Playing smarter & better > complaining about not knowing how to play.

Heh you guys don't seem to know, or remember the first thing about USSR. USSR ran a 28, then 32 slot ONS pub for nearly 2 years. So...you have to understand that the USSR players have a lot more experiance at 32 person ONS + most of them have experiance with competitive play...and Captain Gordon is himself a damn good DM'er. So before you go ripping on USSR at least know some of the history and the players. Lately some of us (me and Crazee88's use to be in USSR as well) have been playing 32p ONS again and having fun. Much <3 for the Gorz maps, the vehicles are crazy fun and we all have a good time playing.

As for JoeBlow, you were probably banned from the USSR server by one of the old old guys...they were all assholes for the most part and have long been gone. I seem to remember you playing on Cain's Lair quite a bit.

As for spawn killing in general..it happens, some more than others. The same people that whine about me manta whoring on maps like Primeval or ChainIsile will be trying to spawn kill with a mine layer on Dreamus. Playing > whining imo.

I use to play on Cain's Lair alot too.
I just use these types of peoples tactics to become a better player, pretty soon I'll be able to counter anything--(evil laughter here).

Have to say I agree with what most people are saying vis is good in a tank but there are always ways of beating him, the avril at range and the flak up close.

The only thing I noticed about him was that (may have been the OP) some one showed their anger at his tank usage and his attitude in return was less than friendly, ok the other guy wasnt being nice but it takes two to tango.

To the OP get over it dude its a game just have fun :blackeye:

And this drinking sounds like fun... seems like we have an "E-beer" starting here !
