On the server, people keep mentioning something called 'copying'. Call me a noob for asking, but how do you copy? I've asked on server and nobody answered, so I thought I'd come here and ask.

Zach when you hit a weapon pickup and you have say a energy mine layer and you pub this to erveryone and every adren master and his gradma wants a copy, this is what they are talking about. If a weapon does not have an asterick by it it is copyable if there is a weapon locker or pickup on the map. In situation above when every adren master finds out that you (weapon master) spawned with an energy mine layer then you can toss it to them and they can toss it back then as long as they do not pick up any other weapon they can go to the weapon locker or pick up and pick up the weapon they were last holding. Now their are some stipulations one they can't die before hiting the weapon locker and two you may get your previous weapon before touching the energy, In which case you toss it and hit the locker again and will more than likely get the energy. Sometimes it may be two or three tries before it gives the energy layer that you just touched. Hope that helped. 3

Excellent explanation, Acy!
Just want to add that the weapon copying can be accomplished by anyone....adren masters, medics or weapon masters. You just have to "touch" the weapon in question and head straight to the weapon pickup or locker to get your own copy. Additionally, if it's a copyable weapon that you initially spawn with, you can toss it to someone and go pick yourself up a fresh copy as well. Like Acy said...just be sure you don't die before you get to the pickup! ;)

I copy weapons with a different method: I throw them my weapon, let them keep it, and then go to the weapon locker myself. It has never failed to work for me.

Same difference.
I rather let someone work for the copy, it's unfair for me who's being generous have to also go get the pickup.
