I would love to see some of these smaller maps WITHOUT vehicles. It would put everyone on more equal footing. YEAH YEAH I know you Manta squashers and tank/Bender campers wouldnt like that, but then you'd have to duke it out, which is a lot more difficult, and your point totals wouldnt be as good, which means nothing to gloat about, which means it'll never happen.
Actually there was once a Maelstrom map without vehicles on here and ppl liked it. YEAH im in a bad mood so Im gonna rant so there

= I also believe, vehicles in a small /CNed map are out of any understandable need _... If you enjoy face-face on foot combat there's some good DM and TDM servers out there , no vehicles ,no nothing .. There a high score depends on aiming, agility , timing and of course! a good machine .. Best than all there's no spawn killing!! =

Yeah, but I dont like DM...just because it seems like chickens running around with their heads cut off, no time to breathe...I love to snipe and thats bout impossible in DM. Some maps are great if someone like vehicles...Volcanohigh, maelstrom,Spiffingrad etc. I would like to see Dreamus, triple/bitch slap with none. Dreamus could keep the bender I think, and the scorpions, but lose the mantas and the tanks. There is almost no defense against mantas in those maps. Avrils are useless unless you shoot point blank, and get lucky because there is no time to get a lock with all the hills.
To me it ruins the fun when youre dueling one on one or two on one shock rifles blazing, and then it ends because you get squashed by a manta or hit by a tank.

I'm nobody, but thats just my opinion. Opinions are like AH's everyones got one.

So far I would greatly prefer to play CTF Suspense with no vehicles, or at least no Tank/Mantas.

Once the full game rolls around I'm sure I'll be making a few foot-oriented WAR maps.

- Theres also this sniper Servers Mercenary | I used to play with the SSS (Secret Society of Snipers) guys- very huge maps, all you do is snipe, hide 80% of the time in the best spot you can (in ONS maps) / running around like headless chickens it's almost banable in there .. you get a translocator, a sniper rifle with dNa radar and that's about it , sometimes a round last more than 1 hour --

- The thing that bothers me about UT3 (so I stop playing it) is, the maps suplied are too small for so much people, be DM or TDM and the first thing going off those maps once I get my hands in the editor tools ..is the DarkWalker , it's completely out of place in those gametypes - - About CTF it was never one of my business in ut2k4 and now that I know the vehicles and the gameplay in UT3 i'll just stay away from it , untill I see if this WF thing is worth to play when the Retail comes out -

I'll take a look at those sniper servers....never really looked before.
The verdict is still out on UT3. I havent really played it very much because my PC isnt up to it. Im not too impressed yet, of course it was only 720 or so mb's of a 8gb game, so I'll wait and see. COD4 is looking good to me...at least from watching the gameplay vids from youtube. Very realistic as far as the weapons go. The sights,scopes and lasers are perfect.

Don't worry, once the full game comes out you'll be able to play real UT CTF--the smash hit game that made UT99 so popular--on foot, with translocater, no vehicles!

Let's also hope that someone releases a kick-butt DOMination mod and that it becomes popular because DOMination totally rocks! It's also played on foot, with the tranny, and no vehicles. UT99-style DOM is more intense than anything you've ever played in UT 2004; it's all about hustling, it's action-packed, and it's a high-body count game.
