How to Copy a weapon

I explain how to copy a weapon like twice a day so I decided to post it in the forums :happy3:

I'll use energy Flak Cannon for the example of this lesson.
To copy an energy weapon, one player must manage to make or obtain an energy flak cannon. The player without the energy flak simply tosses their junky flak, & pick up the energy flak from the supplier. Then the player should give back the supplier their energy flak. So the player without the energy flak must locate a weapon locker or weapon base providing the flak cannon, & pick up a new flak cannon. If a nonmagic flak appears, toss it & try again. It’s imminent that the second trial will be the energy flak.

Adren people, don't use the magic modifier +1 before copying your weapons. You CANNOT toss a weapon if the Magic Modifier plus one is applied. It's best if you offer your energy weapon for copying before you apply the plus one. Also you can’t copy weapons with the * <--this is a star] at the end of the title. That’s why you can’t copy an infinite link gun because it reads: Link gun of Infinite +4 *

I hope this helps out. Happy gaming at Monster Mash!!! I'll see you on sometime :bom:

Very useful information^^
You still see that people who are new to the server ask how to copy weapons, maybe we can make an in-game information window (shows when pressing a certain button or key) where players can find useful information about how things work in the DW inv server:)

Sorry guys I already hit this one awhile ago your not the first, to get tired of telling people. We need more readers on the forums.

Sorry timeshifter that button and info is something that takes time and coding. It's easier to just go to the forums where many of the answers are if people will just read a bit.

Where exactly would you put an information window about weapons? The L menu is more for character-specific things.

And when you're in game would people really read it?

I totally understand acy, I think that if someone had the time, knowledge
and will to do it before, it would already be there.

about the L button window, same as the "see player levels" button, there could be another one for "Useful information" but like acy said, it takes time, and many don't have that.
