DM-Insomnia

Hey guys heres a map i made a while back, hoping itll go on the monster mash server.

this is as much i did before headaches started kicking in:P

Theres a couple of things I want to do with the map, small things, I want to add more path nodes, player starts, and a portal or two and perhaps add the portal gun and ripper to it. I'll see if I can have it up this evening sometime after I do that.

Foxdie, the map looks good and is fun to play! :faroah:

The only minor issue I noticed is that my gun gets reflected off the floor texture in a funky way. For example I had a mini with knockback and the knockback gun's red glow reflected off the surrounding floor oddly. Switching to a different gun (e.g. energy) had the same effect but in that gun's "magic" color.

yeah i noticed that to it happens with peoples names and the chat text sumtimes to.

It's called....special effects!!! LOL!!! ;)

Got to play it this afternoon...good map, Foxdie! The raptors had me for a snack on Wave 13! Map kept me on my toes! Nice work! :cheers:

lol fox, those floors were unique but the cause of the ibis (the glowing stuff) is that you chose a texture that is transparent. So between the "cracks" of the floor, you are seeing the outside world.

To fix this, you could place another floor beneath it. So you see your second floor instead of the ibis. Or you can select a different texture. Now there is a texture similar to the one you've chosen earlier but not transparent. I think it's in the same package if memory serves me right. When choosing textures, you can tell weather they're transparent or not.

Once you select them:
In a solid texture, the grey highlighting only apears around the parameter of the texture.
in a transparent texture, the grey highlighting shows up within your texture.
