ok im getting really tired of being blown into hundreds of tiny little bits at the start of wave 16 because of the dam volcanic sliths. The vengance of a volcanic slith is soo annoying any other wave yeah fair enough but come on obliterating 3/4 of the people in the server at the start of luci wave means that everyone loses a hell of alot of xp and its just plain seriously annoying! Is there anyway it can be changed to stop this happening because it happens nearly all the time on the smaller enclosed maps. It just happened on crumpet and thats whats made me post this, 11 people out at start before the lucis even got there soo only 1 luci arrived hence everyone lost alot of potential xp which just sucks. anyone got any ideas on how to stop it happening?? and please can no smart arse say get some more damage reduction coz not all of us are level god knows what.

lolzorification, i tink its sumthing u just have to deal with im afraid, i kno that this happened ALOT more b4 and got fixed, not played in a while but ive not seen this happen in a while

If its still happening, I'll see about increasing the time of invulnerability when first spawning...

It is indeed part of what makes the server challenging!

All I can say is, you need to be moving the instant you respawn, preferably with trans in hand. I always assume that if I die on wave 15 that there's going to be nastieness waiting for me when I respawn.

First thing...look for the telltale orange/yellow glowing lights then trans like crazy in the opposite direction. You've got a whole minute before Luci spawns, so there's plenty of time to get away from the explosions.

Second thing...know the map and spawn points. You can pretty much tell where you'll respawn on most maps and if you know where the next corner or room is, you can hightail it to safety.

Additionally, investment in Quickfoot, PowerJump and any other movement skill will get you out of the danger zone faster. And I've heard tell that if you shoot the little bright light, it will go out and prevent lava and cinders in the face. I haven't been able to confirm this however!

However you look at it, it's part of the game...sometimes you die! ;)

I'm not sure if increasing spawn time helps. One time, I died before I pulled my gun out due to a delayed volcanic slith. Is there someway to disable all ultima sliths while the monsters die off instead of waiting for the next wave to start?

But increasing spawn protection time will help us when a few monsters managed to survive the time out :)

Karma the problem is that you have no time what so ever to high tail it out of there as soon as u spawn the vengance explodes and obliterated everyone who just spawned near it. If there was time to run away i wouldnt complain but its the fact that there is no time what so ever to get away from it. TY for looking into ways to fix it Wraith.

I think what you may be experiencing ins the ping you have to actually get moving. I spawn and am quit capable of moving away in time, I also live in the US and have a sub 100 ping actually usually in the 70s and 80's. The people I see having issue usually have a higher ping and don't move for several seconds after the spawn.

im in scotland n my ping is usually 100-160 whenever ive seen it but its even happening to people who live in the US and have sub 100 pings that get obliterated soooo thats not really the problem.

One thing I forgot to mention about spawn protection time. The spawn protection time is automatically diminished whenever you shoot (including trans).

So If you're translocating whenever you spawn, you will be vulnerable. You can perform this experiment on "Instant Action"
Set the spawn protection time to about a minute, & try shooting the bots. They will remain protected until they shoot/trans.

yeah most spawn protection/armour is like that on most games as soon as u shoot u lose the armour/protection. its gets annoying when ur playing against people who dont understand the concept of spawn armor and scream lag everytime they die bcoz they shot u as u spawned and u didnt die, does my head in.
