OK, so idea would be to make a map consisting of:
Any mapper which would like to submit a room which will be collected and put together into 1 large map, connected either by Teleports or doors,
Size would be anything reasonable but not map sized, the idea is rooms,
so you can go into my room and see some stuff relating to myself,
then you go into boss's room and you seem something relating to him or w/e
There must be a time limit and i would say 05 October 2008
Which gives one month to do your room .
They should be pmed to me .
Then we will optimize the map layout and will make sure everyone is happy with the Stuff in the map

I got tons of questions to ask:
What's our room dimension sizes? Is it 5120X5120? but what's the height limit?
Can we convert our room into a mini outside place?
How many mappers are participating? Please list participants names here.
Can we connect the rooms through hallways, transportation movers, or Warpzones?
Who's in charge of balancing the rooms? We shouldn't have one room too ridiculously easy.
Is there a theme going on, or are we just freelance?
Whose captain of this project? I'm assuming Chavez is.
How many supplies do you recommend? For example: how much adren, health, weaps, & ammo. We don't want one room stocked with super adren.
Whose building the skybox? I think we can only build up to two skyboxes.
Where does the player starts go?
Will there be a "neutral zone"? Like hallways connecting the rooms & whose building them?
How should these "neutral zones" be layed out?
Whose doing the misc stuff: Mini boss, music, screenshots (Yes, you can preview screenshots through map voting. I just found this out not too long ago), title, etc...
Are we making weapon specific rooms? One room can get the link, rockets, bio while the other room gets the mini, flak, mines?
Are we adding some "super secret"? Where each mapper gets to hide one button in there room & the players will have to trigger all buttons to activate the "super secret".

Can we add mini secrets to our rooms? If so, what should we add in there? Once again, no uber easy places.

How do you feel about two rooms joining? 2 mappers work on one room, but they get twice the size >:D

Room dimensions can be anything aslong as it is Reasonable, the point is your own room as part of a map, not a map to go in a map :D
You can set your room outdoors if you wish.
Mappers who want to participate just post in forum saying theyre interested and start on their room asap.
I will take on the task of connecting rooms in whatever way once i see what you guys come up with, and will let you guys check the finished project before submitted to do any adjustments you wish.
I will also make sure the rooms are in a nice balance, however i hope the mapeprs will be sensible with what they put in their room ie, no 1000 adren spawns etc. i ask that you dont put Artifacts in just yet as i will place them spreaded out through the mao.
It is freelance atm, it is so you go into a players room and you can tell who made it because it is something which Represents your character and how people ingame know you :)
I shall captain this projects organization but once everything is submitted we shall all discuss our product.
If you are creating rooms with too many pickups i will remove and spread more evenly around the full map.
Depending on the players room ie. if they want it outdoors then they may make a sybox, if there is more than 2 rooms needing a skybox they will have to make do with the ones already on the map, its a first come first serve basis.
Player starts will be in the main room, so dont put any in your map unless you are testing.
I shall be doing all the room connecting but if you guys are unhappy with the way your room is connected you may say and give ideas on how to change.
Dont make hallways with your room unless you are splitting your room into sections, which i think will make it harder to connect.
I will take care of the details although if you want specific thing i can do your wishes.
Pickups etc will be done once the whole map is put together, not a good idea for you to put them in your room to start incase everyone has like flak in their room.
I think the super secret is a gr8 idea, if we all have a hidden place in our map where a button is and once the sequence is done in correct order they get everything they ever dreamed of :)

Events are your own choice although if they dont work well with the map they will have to be removed.

While I think that doing a map project with several people should be done in a different way, such as having a main mapper, and have others do things like one person makes some of the content, i.e. meshes, and another may be on the textures/design etc., another with sounds etc......if you need a custom static mesh, or have one and need it to be better or maybe the material layout on it changed, or you need to have a texture made so that it is a seamless tiled texture from whatever graphic you have, let me know, I can try to help out on the content side. For example I made the custom meshes in the last reload map (neon wrap-around on buildings) that is the kind of stuff I have liked doing of late.
