Heej everyone,

Yesterday a friend of me introduced me to monster mash, and boy, i like it soooooooooo much,
But i have a problem also :scratch:

When i go in with my own name, and then restart the game, its an imposter :scratch:
anyone can help me on this :(

Btw my name is Jeffrey,
I am 20 years old and a dutchie in hart :p

My hobby's are,
Gaming ( yeah serious o.o )
Driving my Motorbike on trackdays
Riding on my dirtbike
and being busy wih my wheels of steel ( turntables )

I am a nice person, and i hope people here are nice to, so i can play without being an imposter evrytime and having
to start all over again :geek:

Hi, welcome to the forums and hope you enjoy monster mashing as much as us!

If you are Name_Imposter then someone else has your name. If you aren't too high a lvl yet (maybe 30 or 35 max) type changeclass in the console followed by another name. You will have a fresh account with no _Imposter on it!

Well,

when i first started my name didnt have imposter behind it,
then it got imposter so i changed my name and such in the unreal menu ( maybe that doesn't work toghetter with server then srry for my stupidity :p )

But anyways, then it was normal name again, and then i had to restart my comp, so when i came back, it was imposter again :P

not sure whether it wouldn't work, sometimes I change to MMA>Leroy b4 I enter the game and it works fine. Just change your name back again, see if it stays. If not you will have to do the changeclass instead the server will remember you last logged in as the non-imposter. Or at least it does for me lol

There are a few possible reasons why you may see your name as xxxxx_imposter.

1) Someone else already has that name in the server.

2) You have incorrectly typed in your original name and in doing so changed it to a name that's already been used in the server. Remember to type in everything -exactly- the same each time. :)

3) You're connecting from a considerable distance away, are experiencing packet loss or have a very high ping to the Mash. We don't allow mutliple reconnects for weapons, so I'm not sure why you'd log in and then quickly reconnect but when you do that combined with a high ping (or it could happen if you're in the basement of the co-location and have an uber fast computer! ;) ), the server has not processed the fact that you've left and when you reconnect, it thinks you're still in the game and automatically assigns you the _imposter portion of the name.


So, if you have to reconnect because your computer locked up, UT crashed or your ISP hiccuped, give it a few extra seconds before reconnecting. You can also have more than one character on each server. All you need to do is remember their names properly and play them regularly. Accounts that are inactive for more than 60 days are deleted.

i remember you saying that you played the account on some1 elses computer first?

the different cd keys could be the problem

well, got everything fixed now,
can't really explain what was going on, but nothing like reconnecting or cheating or any of this ( those people suck :P )

and taz i remember you to :p
you brought me some mine layers to a tower in some lvl :p
but anyways, i was at my friends house with my own comp :p
since he only lives like 100 meters away from me :p

time to play now x3 under a new name though D=
guess i have to wait few months to get old one back :p

Of course the easy way to get rid of the name problem would be to attach MMA> (Monster Mash Addict) to the front of your name ;)
