Check this out GIMP lovers and those who love to paint like myself! I love oil painting when I have time and never really got into paint programs because they never felt like the real thing and lacked percise control of yielding a paint brush in hand so I did some searching on the internet and I'm so glad I did. I found GPS! A new tool for GIMP called GIMP paint shop and it was so easy to install and use that I had to share it with you all. Take a look!

You can download it yourself here:

If you don't have GIMP already, here it is:

It really is great. I got to use it for a little while and already love it. All that is missing now is a graphics tablet. BTW, thanks karma for that ad. I really appreciate it!

Seriously Savage, thanks for posting this. Being an art teacher, these types of programs, esp. being based on an open source free program like GIMP, are great to find. I'm going to post this to our department website once I play around with it.

For me, being able to sketch the light source shapes would be key for students to practice at home.

My only question is, if I install GIMP on a machine that also has Adobe CS3, should I expect any conflicts?

I didn't have any conflicts on Windows 7 or Vista. I think it should be fine.
