Like A Good Setting, Like It Feels Real, Like A Creepy Map Should Have A Creepy Atmosphere, Not Like The Atmosphere Of Being In A Factory, If That Makes Sence :sthinking:

Since I only can pick 3, I'll type here what I really like in a map
*Secret rooms, for giving the map that something extra that not everyone can find.
*Safe areas, for the lower levels to survive, but not to get scores as high as high levels (like DM-trainstation ml spam)
*mid hard, because sometimes we don't want to try to hard
*hard maps, sometimes we want a challenge, like when we are a bunch of friends playing, to see whos the daddy :sgiggle:
*superweapons, not that important, but if you add, hide em well

Now I would pick secrets, but then again some mappers interpret secrets as a small hole in the wall where you have to trans through to get a million adren, with deemers, and teleporters back to the battlefield while leaving your trans into the isolated room.

If you don't load up your rewards with loads of stuff, and make a unique process of getting there, then that'll be a cool feature in your map.

I think Detail is what makes the map have its own DNA. With enough detail, it'll be no doubt that you've created a unique map that differs from the rest.

I agree. For me, Robinson stands out as the most detailed map with the best eye candy. Deep Violet stands out for its details and also its unique colors, layout, and design.

I prefer maps with little to no adren. It's much more rewarding to have to work for adren (by fighting monsters) than to sit on a loaded rapid firing pill. Plus you get XP for shooting monsters. :swink:

I also prefer maps with more than one room. It makes it more interesting, plus everyone isn't shooting the same monsters.

Okay, From The Current Poll Results, It Looks Like You All Like Highly Detailed Maps In Which To Play, And You Also Like A Challenge
Listening To DW_Ant, Secrets Are A Good Feature If Not Overloaded With Goodies
This Is The One Thing I Dont Like About Most MM Maps, Secrets Where You Can Leave Your Trans, Run Out Nuke The Place, Then Trans Back In! This Is Something I Truely Dispise
Well I Shall Start My New Map, With These Things In Mind

Yep. I don't even know how people can find that fun, since it's usually everyone who's actually playing the map being dead, and someone who isn't playing but basically hiding idle in the safe room who's alive.

maps with creative hiding spots are nice,ie with the use of the magnet,and/or flight weaps, like on janie s hell for example,
maps with defendeble spots are my faforite though.like akball, where u can create a defendable spot,by strategic use of pets, and sometimes other players.its a team game after all :)
enything that requires some creativity i like :scool:

All the above that was mentioned, but also a map with a theme. In other words, I find that the atmosphere is best achieved when there seems to be a plot or story behind it.
