DM-Crossfire-Extended

Hello members,
here we go!! Second map is on way. I try to make new map. The map would be like Call of Duty 4 Crossfire. But there will be some difference, because there are would be same as Crossfire and so i changed map name to DM-Crossfire-Extended.
And second thing is that not many members vote in poll.

I upload an image that members can see my process.

Hello Members,
i love to make maps for Death Warrant, for the members and for Invasion servers to be more attractively.

So i decide to build my second map

I have make map terrain very quick and it looks cool :sbigsmile:
and i hope that the map would gain much more popular.

Never experienced Crossfire first hand so I wont be able to tell you its accuracy from the original.
But I'm sure almost everyone else will be able to tell.

But from the looks of your picture, the angled BSP brushes will make things difficult to align. Be very careful not to overlap subtracted/added brushes. Every time you do this, you also risk HOM. I presume players may go inside the buildings, right?

I know its same as crossfire, but its not ready because i make some more buildings in that two corners.
The name of map is Crossfire but i put extended behind, that means there is coming a changing in map.
I have some great ideas. :sbigsmile:

I´m making second map, because i think DM-Energy-Plant-beta3 fail and it wouldn´t be able on server.

But it´s ok for players, who like invasion offline.
I think i put it in my packages. :ssmile:

If it's going to fail on the servers no matter what, then I wouldn't bother providing the list of solutions from the previous beta.

I can guarantee that Energy Plant has potential in making onto the servers. I don't see any limitations that may forbid this map in witnessing net play.

I hope DM-Energy-Plant-beta3 is working well, i reduce particles but the size of map is same (30,6 MB).

Should i reduce some path notes on grass ground?

With Crossfire i have some good idea. My idea is for Crossfire that in the original version there is a diner and my map will have a diner too. The diner will be called as Janie´s Diner :sbigsmile:, like in Vent server.

How is name of diner? :ssmile:

Well map speed doesn't reflect map size. Actually I think they work inversely. The more optimization methods you apply, the larger the file (but the file size's difference is pretty much arbitrarily small). Optimizing Lighting is an exception to this.

Pathing on the ground shouldn't make a difference in speed, but since you updated your map, we're going to make another run at it either today or sometime in the weekend. We'll let you know how it went ;)

If my day is light, then I'm on 12pm - 2 am (Central Time)

Other days, I'm on/off.

It's not only me that run through the maps. We have a group that inspect the maps. As a consequence, this may cause difficulty in finding a proper time to make these runs, but it's definitely worth the wait. The author of the map(s) is invited to tag along and listen in to the live feedback, too. You're missing out on the first impressions; something I wouldn't want to miss out on.

I build a bit on DM-Crossfire and what happened?

There was a HOM in building near skyscraper :sgiggle: .
Now i try to fix this problem. You were right :thumbright: .

How can i make a fluidsurfaceinfo in cylinder form?

We have 7 hours difference, means 7pm to 9 am in german time.
