Windows 7 & connecting to the server

I installed Windows 7 over the weekend & in general seem to like it quite a bit & to this point have only had two problems - getting my older HP scanner to work, but more importantly - UT2004 will not connect to any servers - the join game internet screen shows a "connection failed" message in the lower right hand corner.

I have disabled windows firewall & can connect to the internet with any other program, but no love for UT

I use AVG as virus protection & it does not have a firewall

I made sure to apply the 3369 patch.

Any suggestions from the tech gurus out there?

Thanks,

Are you trying to connect via an IP address? Cuz the master server has been fubar for about a week now and it's not gonna connect you to anything.

No, i was just going to the master list of servers screen & was going to add the DW servers to my favorites that route - the server query does not show any servers.

Ahh, I have found the solution - it had nothing to do with Windows 7 - i just did not have the track stats box checked in the settings of UT2004 - i'm good to go now.

I don't think it was that check box. It was the master server being down. No one has been getting any servers listed for the past week, but it looks like the master server is up again. Hopefully it will stay that way (they had it up for a bit on Monday but it went down again). Get all you favorites set while it's up!
