Does anyone here have the game Spore?

Apparently, you can export creatures from the game Spore into 3D programs like Maya and 3DSMax.

I dont personally but I've got a mate who does and did graphics as a degree, I dunno why I never thought of asking him before lol.

Hes pretty busy with work but I may just give him a buzz for you.

The cool thing about Spore is it's very, very simple to create creatures in it. A friend of mine owns the game, and I actually made a respectable Mutalisk (the flying dragon/worms from Starcraft) in about 20 minutes of playing around when I was at his place.

The big problem with the game - I don't want to buy games that are going to install rootkits on my machine, so I kind of refuse to get it on principle.

I dunno what he plays spore on tho, but I know hes got software to make models on from uni :) Any specific format for them?

Supposedly Spore can export to Collada format (.dae), but ultimately UT2004 wants things in .3d or .psk/.psa format to be put into the game.

I may actually give my buddy a call and see if he can get me some of his creatures too, can't believe I didn't think of that.
