Glad to see Monster Mash is still around. I wonder if my map is still on the server? :O

Hello pilvlp,
What map(s) have you made? Maybe we could dig it up if it's missing. If not, we could inform you what glitches or problems your map(s) contain.

DM-Pilvlps_plaza I believe. Wraith did some minor changes to it and added it. I still have it in my email but it's nothing spectacular, just something I fiddled with.

It's been awhile since I've played so I have a couple questions.
Does the infi+NRG trick still work?
How does one get a second weapon of the same type?
Is there a way to bind the globe or lightning to a key?
and what is the bind to toggle fire so I don't have to hold it down?

They fixed the old exploit where you could get inf ammo on a non inf gun. however you can still do it in a very minor way if you are patient and good at weapon switching: holding an inf mp5 and nrg mp5 when the nrg runs outta ammo very quickly switch to the inf and then back to the nrg and you will get a lil less than 50 ammo which will last a few moments and then you gotta do the switch again(and again and again and ....). actually once you get the hang of it you can do this quite well, though it's pretty darn cumbersome :swink:
to get a 2nd mp5 or whatever, just pick up the additional one from a monster drop off the floor. i believe you also can pick one up from a player who died.
An example of a bind for globe is: SET INPUT G SelectGlobe | InventoryActivate, where G is the key you want to use

Artifacts special commands
I don't know the auto fire bind but i wouldn't recommend it as it wastes ammo and ut penalizes your movement while you keep firing so much. however it does exist so i'm sure someone could give it to you. an alternate solution is the good ol' instagib player tactic of scotch taping your mouse button down :sgiggle:

I wouldn't keybind auto fire. In fact, I never bothered learning how to keybind auto fire. You can't time your weapons properly when shooting creatures out in the distance. So if you're using a shock, LG, or even a flak (to lead your attacks against mobile targets), shooting manually will enhance your accuracy. If you're going to use a mine layer for 15 waves, then I guess it wouldn't matter if you keybind or not.
Also I don't think it requires much force to hold the fire button down.

The main reason for the autofire would be to link up with other players.

I totally agree with Ant and i too wouldn't wanna do it personally but to each his own brand of fun so here ya go. I saw some guys chatting on it last nite so i believe the commands are:
set input k Toggle bFire
set input k Toggle bAltFire
where 'k' is the key you want.
if those don't work just go play on server and ask, there's a lot of peeps doing this kind of thing and i'm sure they could help.

You guys are missing the best reason to have an autofire bind - typing in chat. :swink:
Whenever I'm asked something in-game and want to respond, I just switch over to mines, hit the autofire bind and type away, wherever I am at the moment. Just need to watch out for the rocks, they can ruin any chat time.
And yes, what you wrote concerning the bind is correct warhead.
