I was going to download some of the monster mash maps, but it was down. And the various downloads section just was blank, I dont know if it was a bug, or there are not any various downloads.
But the main part of this was to notify that the monster mash map downloads are down.
Apologies for not being able to find downloads for the maps on our servers. Ever since FileFront died and was resurrected, we've not had a proper home for our maps. During FileFront's first transition, they arbitrarily decided to toss out over 50% of the maps I'd uploaded. Then, when they changed over to GameFront, nothing was left. There are many, many megabytes of maps...I have them safely stowed on hard drives & backed up on removeable media, but I just haven't found a good home for them as yet. Ideally, I'm looking for a free site with unlimited space, free downloads & uploads that won't axe my files just because they haven't generated any downloads over a period of time and that's not loaded to the gills with ads and won't disappear overnight!! Dream on, right? :sgiggle:
In any event, I haven't given up on this no so little project! Anyone with suggestions for a file hosting site that meets my criteria, please post a link in your reply to this thread and be sure to describe your experience with the site in question. Thanks!

I don't know if this is something we want to pursue -- But I know some file download sites like RapidShare/Megaupload will in some circumstances pay the uploader of the file the more it's downloaded (presumably since they're selling ads and more downloads = more impressions/clicks).
The big problem is often these sites have some strict download filesize limits. Like, I wouldn't want to upload hundreds of maps individually to fit into 10MB file constraints, at least not unless I could automate it.
