I found some bugs (DWMM INV servers)

I found few bugs.. some are already known but I decided to make this post for quick summary and/or aditional information..
Medic Artifacts keybinds work correctly only if you do NOT have summoning charms curently selected.
Also sometimes (i think on respawn) you dont see names of charms until you use one of them..
Also summoned Raptors act like they would be dumb.. they barely atack or do something.
And hostile raptors can kill you while ghosting (or globing afaik) on some occasions.
I think that sometimes you can survive shot from lucifer without globing or having high hp+dr or anything.. like it would get 0damage or something.. not sure about this one but it is not much of problem.
I found a bug. It is called Giant Razor Fly and it is incredible ugly. Could you please remove it? ( :sbigsmile: joking.. )

Thanks for great ut04 servers.
PS: these new icons for artifacts are sweet.. I wish other rpg servers would use them as well.

This happens because of packetloss. Always had been like this since the Summoning Artifacts came about. Wail did an improvement where you may see the names after using one of the artifacts.

I've seen raptors were able to kill you while ghosting, but it's extremely rare. I've never seen the raptors kill anyone through globe though.

Sounds like a networking problem. The client (from your computer's perspective) says that you were hit, but the server says that you were clear from that shot.
I guess you can relate this to when projectiles "explode" when hitting corpses of monsters, but the projectiles actually carry through invisibly.

I think this whole theory needs to be tested more to get a better feel for it. Go back and take luci hits and see how many kill you vs. how many don't and report back good soldier. :banana:

This is not a bug in my opinion and is perfectly fine. I am assuming the luci projectiles just use the standard UT instagib code to process the hit(which would make sense as the luci gun would just be a modified instagib rifle), and as such this is fine behavior. The issue would be an issue in UT itself and the way it processes instagib hits, not with invasion.
In regular UT instagib deathmatch you see this happen all the time and i do take advantage of it. The way it works is that an instagib shot does not kill you if it hits your legs. Shot must be at head or torso to be a kill. If it hits your legs you just get boosted and maybe a little damage.
Whether it's a bug in UT or not would be debatable. It is most likely by design to force players to aim at the critical areas of the body to score the kill.
I also take advantage of this when playing invasion, as i know i can stand right in front of luci without globe and not die as long as i time my jumps to at least keep my upper body above his line of fire. it's almost like you are trying to 'walk' on his projectiles.

I have a MM character in Server2 and everytime i switch to rejuvation weapon it stop my Sphere of Regeneration from working. is it a bug or part of game design?

I don't recall rejuvenating weapons removing healing spheres.
I do know that translocators disable your healing sphere to prevent abuse. It wasn't rejuvenating trans was it?

good to know.. I will remember to not switch to it next times..
just out of curiosity.. how exactly it could be abused? you mean like deploying your trans beacon in sphere so it would heal you trought a glitch even if you would get out of the sphere? but that could be done anyway.. i have no idea.. :scratch:

We are trying to avoid scenarios like a low level medic will jump in the middle of the map where all the fighting is happening, then they'll quickly trans away onto some adren pill and idle for a couple waves.
