ONS-Downtown

I wanted to get this map on the server so starting a thread here.

Karma have you attempted to get this on SV yet? I can look into embedding the Onslaught Specials code if that is the stumbling block.

Looks like this is working now.

My commentary:

Very hard to attack the prime nodes from the core, especially if the enemy has taken the tank there.

Possible solutions:

-More nodes / alternate node route.
-More vehicles at core (e.g. Raptor)
-Losing team gains access to special items (e.g. EMP Deployable, more jump boots, Redeemer) to assist in attacking prime node

PLEASE reduce the rain ambient sound!!

Awesome map though. Played well excluding the prime node problem Wail stated. It looks great, and my frame rates are not too bad.

Yah, I think I had a corrupted copy of the map..not entirely sure why I couldn't get Sanchez's version to work properly. Thank you again, Wail, for the bump on this one!

And speaking of Sanchez's version...it did have more nodes! I went back and looked at the other forum thread we had going...see pic here:

Additional comments on the Beta4 version:

-- Ambient rain sound is much too loud! I like the visual aspect but the total white noise overload made me turn off the sounds completely.

-- I'm in agreement with Wail...more nodes, more access/quantity to items.

-- I'm on the fence about adding a flyer at the core.

Overall...it's an awesome port from UT3!! Very much hope it'll see the light of day on SV soon!
