Ventrilo under Linux

There is no Ventrilo client under Linux, so Windows must be emulated (i.e. "wine ./Ventrilo.exe").
Useful information is available at ubuntu forums and slinux.net.

It would have been trivial if the Setup window didn't hold your mouse hostage, which makes it tricky to check off the little boxes.
I believe I have outsmarted it though.

Keep in mind that Vent does not have to be used, it is just being offered so you guys can have the same communication as we do. In game VOIP is good, but Vent is better in so many areas.

"Using ventrillo through wine AND playing a game is VERY cpu intensive. I noticed this because I overclock my cpu to various speeds. Anything less than 2ghz on my computer, and ventrillo stutters like crazy. Just don't use ventrillo."

Ya wine and ventrilo dont mix.

I stipulate that all DW's must be totally blitzed for all further scrims.
