This just started happening today for me. What happens is that I try to connect to the server on the server browser, I never get to the loading screen; instead, I'm stuck at a black screen where nothing happens. I can still press Escape to stop "connecting" to the server though.

Id also like to add that th e day I couldn't connect to the server, I also couldn't see the custom skin I was using on a monster mash server. I'm suspecting that these two issues are related to each other

did you try to join using a default UT2k4 skin, using the pass, on a fresh UT install ?

I mean, if you did a fresh UT install, set IP, password of server, then you got a problem....related to internet blocking from firewall or antivirus software....or something

Did you connect to any other server successfully????

I switched to another custom skin that I use and I was able to connect again...apparently it's only a certain skin I use that stops me from joining the server...

Anyone know what's going on?

from what I know, you cant use other than the pre-installed skins....
I used a custom skin once and wasnt working online....

maybe you can use some custom-skins....who knows? oh, Ant knows.....
