Don't know if this is the right place for this, but here goes. Most of you I have been playing against for a while now. I feel that I've gotten better over the last few months, but I want to take my gameplay to the next level. Any tips that you guys have that can help? See anything that I may be doing wrong?? Want to let me know how you guys get so &*%$&in good at the shock rifle??? lol Feel free to message me or post back if you want.

use small dot crosshair, figure out how low your sensitivity can be and still turn around easily.

-- The shock rifle as well as the other instant hit guns .. -- require the most .. a good timing and prediction for moving targets ..// - stil targets mm .. ? require no skill at all - just point and shoot .. :) -- Remember -- ::: not only the mouse can be used to aim .. give your mouse a rest for some milliseconds while jumping dodging or jus walking and your movement keys will do the job ... ;) --

learn to use shock combos. shock rifle is the best weapon in the game, until you can hit >40% accuracy with shock primary. Then use lightning....boom headshot!
:gib:
Problem with other weapons is that they are often unpredictable and avoidable. Like, if you see rockets u can dodge away or sometimes you will see a flak ball land on someones head and nothing happens.
And yeah, take e_alpha's suggestion for aiming. Use mouse to get the crosshair close to the target. Then use movement keys to hit the target.
Besides that movement is the key. Learn to strafe ppl (by doing dodge jump left or right) like noones business. If you're not in their screen they probably can't hit you. (probably because some bastards out there can turn and...boom headshot! )

Shock rifles are cool damage-wise but I don't think they're the be-all and the end-all. Flak, Rockets, snipes, Spideys, Avrils, and Grenade Launchers all have their moments, Shock is just the best all-purpose gun and if you're good, completely replaces the minigun.
I'm still working on that shock combo, but I'm getting pretty good. I'd like to be better, but I think being good with a wide variety of weapons is better. I think my priority if I want to be better is get more mouse space, and a high-dpi low-sens mouse! I'm running my sensitivity in the nines right now...that said, it makes for some sick dodging, which is more of my current style. I can't aim magically well, but I can still headshot people out of scorpions once a month! ;)

WOW, sensitivity in the 9s, how the hell do you play. I have mine set to 1.25, so I can aim better. If you breath on your mouse your screen will do a 180.
