Yes, UT2007 found it's way onto the Wiki!

The thing that looks cool to me is the Unreal Warfare (and/or Conquest). Can the first DW server be that?

Unfortunately, the ONLY DW server will be that. There is no more ONS. ONS is now Warfare.
There was supposed to be ONS and Warfare, but I guess the marketing people got final say when game development went on too long, and forced them to drop ONS altogether. Warfare will have a lot of ONS elements, with some Assault like elements as well.

While warfare looks interesting, I will have to wait and see if it could replace or take the place of ONS which is my personal favorite. If they don't have ONS, then I may stick to invasion if they have that, if they don't have that for 2007, then I don't know what I'll do. It wouldn't suprise me if someone made a mod so it would play ONS style.
They axed ONS ???
Babys all cross the world cried when i said that out loud... -.-

I find it very strange that they would axe ONS. The code is already there from 2004. Hell, they did not even develop it themselves. It was outsourced to Pysonix.
I would have thought that most of the work is being done in the Engine (and graphics), not in the game play code. That is very strange. Unless, the new engine does not support UnrealScripting.
I know that the editor is suppossed to be vastly different. The biggest change I have read it that it will be using additive space instead of subtractive space.

According to the Wiki, ONS is still there. Bombing Run, Double Dom & Assault are being replaced by Urban Waefare.
Did I miss a memo?

They're not axing ONS. All they are doing, from what I can tell, is introducing some new elements into ONS: Neutral emplacements like turrets that can be captured by delivering power orbs to them, and possibly one-way links.
They might be calling it something different, but that's a different matter entirely.

If they don't have ONS in the first release, it'll probably be in the first or second patch. Hopefully they'll have TAM, too.

well TAM is a mod made by an independent third party. I'm sure they will port it.
ONS as we know iti is gone, replaced by Warfare which has it's basis in ONS. So it will be very similar.
My biggest fear is that this was a decision made by marketing, and not the developers and it will not be done well. But the demo will give us the answers we seek...
