map: Sub-Rosa: base or bunker style? (FIXED)

looked around for screenies of this map and couldn't find diddly. anyway it's a bonus pack assault map. I yanked out the first couple of goals, all the ones before you get into the compound, and finished cleaning out all the assault bullshit and tried to help the visibility a bit.

there's a little terrain, but it's simple and only lightly curved. the total linear area is about 2.5x the size of Aswan, about 1/2 the area of Lastglacierbase. Lots of cover in the courtyard (many pillars) and i haven't decided yet if i want it to be another protected base style (like last glacier base) or not.

so what you think? Base style or Bunker style? The bits i have could truly support either.

was hoping to finish it tonight, but i got sidetracked with that tower on the hill. rather than lave it open like that, i nabbed a structure from glacier and stuck it there so now it's a kinda tall bunker. suitable for all manner of spam.

so ima go watch battlestar galactica and eat some fritos. I may work on it some more afterwards... alls i got left is the lockerload, pickups, and starts/paths. oh and terrain under-blocking ieugh.

im gonna leave the hellbender in there. I tweaked it's settings... it's 1/4 as sturdy (vehicle momentum scale factor = 1 hehehe) and it's got 3k health. it might be usable on the lower levels, but a raptor bite is gonna toss it about 10 feet. don't even get me started on brute rockets. and yes it'll do that even if the driver is globing. so it prob won't be much use after about wave 6. but you know. . . someone is gonna try right?

For those who played on the Monster RPG Assault game, it was a popular map there.

Are you just planning on using the outsides?

yeah just the areas that katty was so kind to cap for us. the blast door there in the middle that was the first goal on the assault map. . . ima leave it in. Just cuz.

like i said it's about 1/2 the size of Last Glacier, and it's much more broken up with 3 distinct areas. Hope you guys like it.

I'm unsure of what modifications your making, but the terrain in this map isn't my cup of tea. A little bit of smoothing maybe in order, i say leave the base in. I've grown tired of the fish in the barrel type maps so a bunker where i can shoot out endlessly to me is like a dead horse.

with the base internals, it becomes a much larger map. not in area, but in travel. not to mention how close it gets which would make it unsurvivable.

and with too many areas, especially close and unsurvivable ones, everyone would just stay outside.
