well any one playing UT yet?
I got it loaded and it plays. the first attempt at patching it didnt. I think the path was wrong or it just could find it itself. When I closed UT it crashed the desktop. I had to run the mouse over the whole screen to redraw the icons.
On a another sad but funny note. Explorer or mozzilla will not allow me to goto http://www.cnn.com at all. I can on my wifes Mac so I dont know what the issue is.
weather.com and msnbc.com work but there some errors when the screen draws some on the adds. reminds me of the old 3.11 to 95 days really well tested softwareEDIT: can not even goto your own new site.

I haven't. However, there are plenty of articles out there about Vista being detrimental to gaming, etc.

I think Im gonna get cuircuit city to give me XP or i give the computer back to them. I got a 14 day window. Im not to happy with the game performance it really low like 20 fps and lower on Ascendary today and the middle nnode. I know its a lap top but thats pretty sad.

wow wierdness
Well short version I went ahead and took the Dlinks 4 hub router out of the equation and guess what my connection is normal. I can get windows updates goto cnn.com etc.
So i went ahead and did a fimware up grade its a dlink dlg-4100 gamer louge router and it worked im fast again.
Its funny how i could surf before although limited,350 up 3 meg download but now it back to normal 344 up 6 meg downloads again.
Just blows my mind. I played DW:SV with the router in last few days and my pings been great and games been playable.
