Hitting Q is by far the easiest suggestion I have seen. If your view changes, you have a disc. If it doesn't, no disc.

To go with super-hi-res textures, how many poly's does the average UT2k4 character have?

So if I was going to do a texture 8x the size.. would 8x the poly be too much?

Haha all right.

Right now I have discovered Blender :love10:

My first project is Indy's hat.

This is really the first thing that has made me glad I bought a quad-core lol.

After that I think I will start off with rock textures.

I agree with Kyoma. I bought my PC off Cyberpower, and am quite happy with it... However doing the research on GPU's and CPU's and the games you want to play makes your choices fit YOU. For UT2004, you could get 1 or 2 8800 video cards.. One will run with 16x AF and maybe 4x AA.. Two will run 16x AF...

I would say that this new ability would be an amazing ability. It would allow lower level WM's to have more fun.. Often if I spawn with only one semi-useful weapon (like a link of force.. only partly useful because it runs through ammo so fast) I will just go out and jump around and kamikaze stuff u...
