I have about 1400 dollars and need a decent laptop that can run l4d and cod crysis also any game that i might want any help would be great thanks i just dont want too go out there and buy me a big ass paper weight =)
Laptops aren't best for gaming. I would go for a desktop unless you're planning on traveling everywhere.

You could get a macbook, but since macs don't run games, you could instal Windows on it through 'Boot Camp'. It's a program that comes with your mac.
So you can have the fastness of a mac, and game like you're on Windows.
Also you have to buy a copy of windows, since it doesn't come with Boot Camp.

I'm not really that good with pc's. But Alienware have a good rep, so I guess you could get one. But maybe let someone else with pc knowledge talk before you buy.
