Recently decided to get finished working on my map only to figure out all of my ut install was deleted.
So I no longer have my map, kind of annoys me.. A lot.
I from this point, will more then likely not make another map. Even though I have plenty of Ideas for new maps.
Until further notice, screw UT2004.
Well, As-Tombs Is officially gone.

Use dropbox, use an external hard drive, E-mail it to yourself, burn it on to a cd disc, copy it to a floppy disk... anything is better than to lose it all.
Just curious, how did you manage to remove your entire UT install?

I honestly have no Idea ant. I was just working on my map last night.
I go to open the editor to work on It again and It says the exe blah blah blah has not been found delete shortcut? So I go and look In my files to see what the hell was going on, got Into the ut2004 folder and the subfolders In the Ut2004 folder itself, every one of them was empty. Everything was gone.
Spent like an hour trying to find everything but, It's just all gone =\. Shame the map Itself looked amazing, you'd have been surprised of this map coming from a beginner mapper =\.
As you suggest, I'll probably do that from now on so this shit doesn't happen. But for a while now, I'm just done with UT2004 for a while. Need a break from It.

A restore may or may not work since it is not supposed to affect user files only programs and system settings. But because your map files were (I'm assuming) within the UT program folder, it may work.VIP3R wrote:Nope, I was going to but never got around to It.
Vince says I should do a system recovery to see If It brings my stuff back. But I don't know how to do It, so Idk.
Not sure what OS you're using, but you should be able to just type "system restore" into the search field within the start menu. It should list something like "system restore" or "restore you're computer to a previous state" in what it finds. Once you start the restore program it should show you dates on which restore points have been made (you may have to click a button or link to have it show "more restore points" if the one/ones listed do not go far enough back). Just choose a date prior to the incident and click restore. Note that sometimes AV progs prevent restore from working correctly, so you may have to disable them.

And 2989? Well that's just BAD

The latest pm I got from you was back in June 5th. That was when we're trying to figure out what to do with the weapons on Dragon Tower.[/offtopic]DW_Apok@lypse wrote:PS: DW>Ant did you get my pm's, because i didn't get any feedback of them.
