Have some bad issues with unrealed and win 8. I cant build save or make anything on this editor. Can somebody help me, cant continue to build map.

Hey Apo,

I'm able to work on UT2k4 in Windows 10. What are you experiencing? From your description it sounds like you can open the editor, make changes to your map, but you cannot save or build.

When you save, does it crash? Does it close without a crash dialogue? Does the file not update? Do you have any logs from System/Editor.log?

Are you able to play UT2k4? If not, does the System/UT2004.log report anything useful?

Have you tried saving a simple map? Place a cube with player start and save that map.

Thank you very much for the reply, Ant.

I have tried to select a texture for a static mesh and pressed on use button. There was no reaction.
Even my scripted Trigger isnt working. I can't add events or cause events.
I will try it out with my windows 7 pc. On my win 8 laptop doesnt work :(.

Saving map, Building map, and Playing it works.

P.S Its long time i wasnt on Ventrilo ^^. Maybe i will come one day over again ;).

That's a bit of "plug into power" kind of advice: have you tried launching UED as admin?
Lack of proper authority can cause weird behaviour in ut2k4.

Also you should probably post your Editor.log contents or at least send them to Ant after making sure that you encountered bugs on your last launch of UED and that it's no longer running.
I don't even know that I know nothing.

I'm not sure what would cause that crash. Doesn't help that I can't view what contains UnObj.cpp.

One thing you can try is to save a copy of your UT install (maps, models, mods, etc...), then reinstall UT 2k4 on your computer. Try building a very basic cube map before adding any mods to your install.
