On lucifer's arena, the package is from the map Blackhawk down. Get that map and it will work right.
I appreciate the criticism but I'm probably not going to edit the maps. They worked fine on the Unreal insanity servers.
Claustrophobia will be just fine, since the lava is an instant kill. Also you need to understand that every item in this map is pathed to every item almost. I had pathnodes in it but it would have taken me a few days to build it.
I made Defend yourself v5 on an old computer that could barely run the game and it had a good frame rate on it.
Bloodstorm might have gone to the rooftop but inside you are safer from falling off.
You're more than welcome to make the changes yourself as long as I keep authorship and that you have edited by: for your own credit.
Hello
We already have a map similar to this. If you haven't done so already, you should check out Crumpet. That map is only about 2-3 times larger than this one & it doesn't have lava, but when you play that map on a loaded server, you'll find yourself wandering in random places outta boredom.Diar wrote:Claustrophobia will be just fine, since the lava is an instant kill. Another issue, is that luci in Claustrophobia will be virtually impossible. He spawns in the middle, if he moves an inch, he'll kill all low levels. Monster level boosts up, and everyone fails (unless peeps had infinite flight weapons and they can stay out of the blast range from luci).
You lose frames when you look into the base. Your machine still renders the million health vials behind the walls (not to mention that the game has to keep track of spawn times and rotation rates). Without bots or monsters, my frames drop to 15.Diar wrote:I made Defend yourself v5 on an old computer that could barely run the game and it had a good frame rate on it.
I highly recommend to replace those pickups into several large ones, and you should zone out the level in half so you don't render the whole shebang.
My point was that the hallways inside are too small for monsters to spawn in. Yea, you can go inside for safety, but what can you do down there?? It'll be a miracle if a titan can spawn in that big room inside.Diar wrote: Bloodstorm might have gone to the rooftop but inside you are safer from falling off.
Just a heads up that MM is really different from UI. I wont force you to edit your maps or anything like that; I will only provide recommendations. You are the captain of your boat so you'll make the decision where to steer your ship.Diar wrote:I appreciate the criticism but I'm probably not going to edit the maps. The difference between successful people from others is
not in the lack of strength,
not in the lack of knowledge,
but rather in the lack of will.
