These posts are in reponse to a question about a German website's "countdown to UT" clock and whether or not the release date it's showing is accurate.

Quick! Rouse the mob and attack this man's house! Burn his fields and despoil his crops! Yargh, we be angry vikings! Ransack his village and feast upon their fleshly parts! Err... we can skip that last one, if you want to.

If that's the case then they need to hire a group of "rumor-busters" who do nothing but scour the web and end false info. Several game sites allowing pre-order are showing a Nov 12 realease. If that's not right, then they need to squash the liers.

Well, for a game that is already a couple of years "delayed", what is a month here and there?? :D
Maybe by then AMD/ATI will force NVIDIA to actually drop the prices of their cards and come out with something new. Or make manufacturers release some more X1950XT cards.

ive given up watching the clock on this one itll arrive when it arrives and fingers crossed it will be al the better for the wait because they have spent the time needed on it and the anticipation should make it even more fun when we get our servers up and running with it.

They have to get it out before the Xmas season gets into full swing or right on the cusp of it. Mid November is feeling about right . If they don't make it before the new year I don't even want to think when the next release date could come.

I've sat and thought about this for, hmmmm.....3 no wait 4 seconds now and I might even take a different approach to the release of a game that would need high powered everything with most intent on video. I would wait until just after Christmas when all the kids (main spenders on video games these days) have gotten new computers or money from mothball smelling relatives to purchase said products.
I could see this going either way!!
That's my 1/2 a cent cause I need to save the rest for a new video card for UT3!

Good idea, StaticLan. I wonder if I can hold out for that long ... Probably not.
