I have been playing around with my mouse settings and wieght and I was wondering what others have theres set at.
Here is mine.
I use 2X 1.75g
And 2X 4.5g
I try to get the wieght more towards the rear of the mouse by putting the 2 4.5s in the back of the cartrage and the 2 1.75s in the middle. This changes the mouse CG just a little and for me helps with quick side to side movements.
I have my DPI at 2000 for max resolution.
& U?????

4.5-------4.5
-----1.7-----
4.5-------4.5
-----1.7-----
4.5-------4.5
To be honest I haven't messed around with it too much. So far this has worked for me. I adjust dpi as needed.

I tried so many different combinations and decided there really wasnt any difference. I now use all 1.7g weights and max dpi. Works great with the Desert Eagle Mike :laughing6:

Ya Ya...... We'll see about that now that my mouse is properly tuned.
Lets just keep that 32 to 12 between you and me. :blackeye:

1200 is more accurate than say 700 but for max resolution 2000 is the way to go.
PS. DPI is "Dots Per Inch" more DPI gives you a smaller step size.

The iCEMAT mouse pad I use is so slick, I simply can't get it heavy enough for my taste so I put all the weight I can into it.

I use a crappy mouse pad and no weights, and usually play with 1750 or 2000 DPI.

I don't have a mousepad, I just use the desk the computer is sitting on :P

As for settings.
1000Hz polling
Setpoint implementation
800 DPI
No Mouse Accel (keep in mind almost every game has it enabled by default in some way)
Speed exactly in middle.
Disable windows enhanced pointer precision.
As for per game, Most games do not expect more then the default 125/sec polling rate that usb defaults too. So find away to change it, In UT it's under MouseSamplingTime in your User.INI. The number to set it too is 1/(your poll rate), So 500Hz will be .002
Disable any "Smoothing" options, Smoothing works by accepting 1 frame mouse lag, so it can compare with the next frame where IT thinks you want it to be, and can change the position slightly based on certain circumstances. In other words it adds more "variables", and if you want to improve your game you need to remove those.
Also a little known issue is having the OLD firmware. They changed the new firmware so there is better tracking on different surfaces, and especially black ones. Unfortunitly due to the ineptitude of logitech's driver or end user support, they made it an extremely hidden file.
Logitech firmware 1.2 for the G5
The single greatest difference has been the mouse pad, so far the best mouse pad (for the G5) from my experience is the Steel series QCK, It's cheap and precise.
I'm thinking of purchasing an MX500 for myself, It was a better mouse then the G5.
