Monster Mash Video Wiki

Hello people of the dw forums and monster mash. It is time for a semi-serious disscussion. As you, and i, may have noticed, there are alot of new players in the monster mash servers that dont really understand how to play rpg invasion. The forums and the monster mash wiki hold lots of information, but as is apparent by the multitude of level 40's with 700 health, or the medics with max monsters that ask if weapon speed is worth maxing, not many players read them. This is why I propose the monster mash video wiki called How to Be Good at Monster Mash. a weekly show that brings tips and information to the monster mash community, in a more appealing way.

Episode 1

Episode 2

Let me know what you think/anything I could do better.

Seems OK, but the MM1 server was released 1/5/07 not 05 (I don't think Druids even did their RPG mods til 06).

Well this explains your previous topic:

lol...GJ on the video though.
Couple suggestions though...when you're rolling a scene of action (showing how cool MM is), don't use the mine layer. Watching people shooting mines are boring compare to shock rifle, flak, or link.
Also make sure you play a part where there are monsters...lotta big chaotic monsters
No wave 1-5 monsters :P

Also the music/narration balance is pretty bad. The talking was too quiet where I had to crank my volume, but then the music blasted through my speakers >.<

gj! It's cool that we finally have a way for noobs to see what things good come out of spending all their time after 10 seconds of wave <x> dead! (Just sayin' it's how it is and its good enough for me...)

ya boss I noticed the same problem. But I just turned up my volume.

What video editor do you use?
For all of my more recent videos, I used Final Cut Express.

I've never had any problems with it.

If you are using Windows Movie Maker, I would not be too surprised if you have troubles with audio. It does not have any audio level meters which can cause some confusion. However, the audio track themselves do show their volume in the time line as the amplitude of the wave. You can use this as a comparison when mixing in voice-overs.

Remember to always look over your videos before exporting to catch any small mistakes.
