I'd like to see standard weapons on the map with the exception of the eons stuff,like ripper etc.

Content and map design is more important overall than the ability to get a specific magic weapon...

If you want a custom mesh made, send me an e-mail. Its easier for me than trying to keep up on the forums...

kk Wraith, i been learning maya for a few weeks now and can make very simple meshes, but i still trying to get them textured ok, if i send you some meshes would you be able to texture them .

Hornet, this project isn't designed to be the best map in the server or not even close to it.

This is just for fun & it'll be interesting due to its unique layout. Also if anything fails, we can always change/adapt to the players likings.

Please wait for the results before attempting to discourage us :)

So i made a filefront for the MapProject

go to http://www.filefront.com

Log in with
Username=DeathWarrantMP
Password=MapProject

Upload it to the MapProject directory.


This will mean so once your all done and i get to work on joining them up you can see each other's work.

Well terrible or not, the fact of the matter my posts are based on an opinion that collaborative group efforts to create anything will most likely fail. Especially ones that are non-for-profit, and basically seem to be some type of social experiment. If you guys want a truly collaborative effort focus on creating individual maps, were you individual talents and styles could be emphasized. Furthermore we can have several new maps to add, instead of one *Cough* Super wacky fun community cluster fk map *Cough*.

Besides, who is in charge, what kind of ground rules are there (i.e secret areas, adren feel, where players can hide and if that is even WANTED, superweapon placements, map specific items, ect....). There are many aspects that influence a maps game play, is there one over-arching goal here, are people willing to understand that their portions of the map may need to be edited by whoever, including wraith. Please read some of the stickies we have in place.

In other news, everything I post is me speaking out as an individual of a community, and not being a active and sometimes contributing member of the clan.

There you forced me to explain myself, be prepared for a world of hate.

As a Player that may be subjected to the outcome of this project, Please create maps that aren't geometrically deficient (I.E. giant subtractive spaces), or in layman terms anything that can be pseudo-accurately modeled with legos.

I'm glad that you explained rather saying this will fail without reason :) I'm extra cautious on the balance & I'm hoping Chavez is as well. Since he's captain, he gets to determine the hiding spots, adren spawns, etc... Basically it's his map & all the others are for is simply building one room.

We build a room, he'll modify it/balance it. I think the only thing we (Reload, Shards, Draco, & me) can do is simply suggest Chavez in what to do, but overall Chavez makes the final word :)

Maybe the way tis unclear is because we started this discussion in another post,

The map is gonna be like a quilt. so all the players who want to be part give me their own little piece. adren and weapons etc are not being placed until every aspect of the map is done. secrets will also be done once everything is connected well. I took on the job of organizing it but we will all speculate prod , poke, discuss, and change the final product until it is awesomeness boxed and unleashed. Your previous posts of Fail, sucked. now that you've explained your perspective it still sucks but we understand you more.

This is no social experiment. more of a Team effort.

any one who is taking part knows how to map, have showed theyre effots in theyre maps already on the server. and now we want to help eachother and combine our work.
