Vent

Hey guys just wanted to know if you are planning on updating the vent server as there is a newer release out. Only problem is people with the old vent client wont be able to connect and will have to update theirs too.

I have the new version and am trying to connect to the DW vent server and it doesnt look like the new client app is backwards compatable either :( that or the vent server is currently down.

We have no choice but to upgrade to 3.0, as Ventrilo mandates all professionally hosted servers must upgrade within two weeks time.

We will probably schedule this ahead of time, and wait as long as possible. They are already up to version 3.02 which is a little disconcerting.

This means when we upgrade, everyone will have to download the latest client version of ventrilo and install it.

Vent has been updated as of now.
You can go here and download the
new client. It will uninstall old client and
install the new one. Mine retained the
old settings except for the port number.
