Game crashes with new toon

So, with the 2k Luci kill on the Monster Mash server, I thought it would be a good time to start a secondary (medic) toon (Doanl_MacGowanMD) to level up faster.
Loaded game, created toon, logged in, distributed points, and healed everyone I could. Luci died, and I went from level 26 (I leveled once killing/healing) to 30 something. Map was Kotam I think.
Second map (train station w/ box) went much the same way. Went from 32 (I think) to 37ish when Luci died again.
I distributed points to max weapon speed (faster healing) before the end of the second map. Third map was the Lego Water Tower.
Load in, medic my MP5, kill/heal everything/one I see till wave 4 or 5. Then go run up top for the rest of the weapons and bounses. Go back to killing till wave 7 or 8 when I leveled again. I wanted to distribute my 30+ points so I go hide in the deemer room.
As soon as I hit the buy button for the monster ability, my game crashes. I get an error messege log/bug report (that is no longer serviced by Epic). I thought it was a fluke, so I logged in again. The system logged me in as Player? and when the next wave started and I was live, I sent a messege and I was logged in as a number (something like 21132).
I loaded my original toon, logged in and played same map for a level with no problems. So I logged out and logged in my medic. System showed me as Doanl_MacGowanMD on the players list. As soon as the next wave started, I crashed again. Got the same bug report.
I thought it might be the toon, so I logged him in on the DW-mini-me team-death match server, and played a complete game with no issuse.
Am I borked or what?

When it crashes again check the end of the UT2004\System\UT2004.log file for the reason for the crash. You can even post it here for people to try to help you if you can't figure it out. But it sounds like you may have a corrupted file in your installation. :sad4:

I know what caused thew problem... It happened to me on another server. As soon as I bought "loaded monster," the game crashes.
But, the Monstar Mash server had some 'resets', and I was one of them.
So I will NOT be buying ANY monster abilities for awhile yet.
